Public hearing was held at the Town Hall on Terrace
'Q_
Road at 7 P.M., regarding the application of Stiles Frmso
Inc. to rezone 18-3875 Acres of land from R 1 to R 2.
Transcript of this hearing by Cecile Burgett, Steno. Hear-
ing was adjourned to June 21, 1972o as Mr. Stiles must
present a map of this area showing lot sizes and roads.

Regular meeting of the Town Board called to order
by Supervisor Frank K. Taylor. members present were Don.
Eaton J.P., Ron Fish J.P. and Sherman Griswold, douncilman
also present were Book-keeper Rudolph Krauklis,Town
Assessor Henry Wadsworth,Town Attorney John Gardner and
Town. Engineer Wm. Rowell,, Fred Walker, Sever and Water
Maintenance.
Town Clerk read the minutes of the previous meeting
and there were no corrections.
The Town Clerk presented the recommendations for
Election Inspectors received from Chairmans of the Rep-
ublican Committee and the Democratic Committee of Cortland
County. on motion of Don Eaton seconded by Ron Fish, the
following Election Inspectors were appbnted by the Town
Board to serve as Democrat Inspectors.

Re; Town water and water district for Stiles Property / Hart
Estates Subdivision Highland Road.

A ine-oting, with Town engineer Williara'Rowell, Board raembor Donald
Eaton, Supervisor Frank Taylor,, J.
W. Stiles, Robert Stiles -and
their engineer Anthon/Dialley was hold to discus; various ways to
got water to the Stiles property.
As a result of the meeting we would like to request the Town to
oxtemft,ho existing water district to include all the Stiles prop-
or-IU-y on the North side of the Groton Road. Also for the Town to k
extend the water main to', -the Stiles property. Stiles iiiill,pay the
debt service on this main until there is enough income from the
now homes on the main, to carry the debt service. Another way
of doing it would be for'-. Stiles to build Bain Line, purchase water

following election inspectors were alpointed to serge as
Republican Inspectors for the Town of Cortlandville

This motion was carried unanimously by.the Town Board.
These inspectors will be paid $2.00 per hour, for time
actually worked and the chairman will be paid '5.00 for
filing returns at the Court House.
Supervisor Frank K. Taylor read a letter addressed to the
Town Board from Jared Stiles concerning Water lines from

the Richard Harris property on Fairview Dr. to the Stiles
Development off Highland Road.
Town Engineer Wm. Howell and Mr. Stiles explained to the
Board the different ways it could be done, Letter shown
on page 132.
Ronald Petracca and another resident from Lamont Circle
asked the Town Board for money for the recreation area
on Lamont Circle, the Board informed them that there was
300,00 available for this project.

Mr. Kendricks from Blodgett Mills askew. the Board about
reducing the speed limit in Blodgett Mills. This request
has been made several times thru application to the state
which has always been turned down® Supervisor Taylor
stated they could present another petition and it would
be referred to the State®
Father David Pichette who owns property on the Serra Road 40
which has been closed for some time, asked the Tovan for
some consideration in order for him to drive to this property
which he wishes to use for a boys camp® The Supervisor er-
plained to him that this would involve great expense and there-
fore could not be considered®

Marion Hendricks and Agnes Phelps from Blodgett Mills
presented a sketch plan to the Town Board of the playground
in Blodgett Mills with suggested:l;m'provements. Justice
Donald Eaton took the sketch and wall investigate as to
what can be done and will report to the Board his findings.
�� Two representatives of Andries--Butler Corp. were
present (Mr. Andries & Mr. Volner) to ask consideration
again,to reduce taxes on their proposed development on the
Morton property on Starr Road. This was brought up at the
May 3® 1972 meeting, however, on motion of Justice Eaton
seconded by Councilman Griswold a resolution was passed
that the Town Board is not in favor of granting this request
from the Andries-Butler dorporation for tax exemption,
pursuant to Section 125 of the Private Housing Finance Law,
of the State of New York. This motion was carried
4 , Motion was made by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Griswold
that 3 street lights of 175 Watts each be installed on the
Sleepy Hollow Tract of LaVerne Neiderhofer. this motion was
carried.
"2 Motion was made by Mr. Fish seconded by Mr. Eaton
that the water didtrict charge a fee of $10.00 for servicing
swimming pools plus the regular charge of $.50 per 1000 gal.
Motion was made by Mr. Fish seconded by Mr. Eaton that all
bills as as presented by the Town. Clerk and audited by the
Town Board be paid as follows: General Fund, $17,973.88,
Highway Fund, $2,650.o6,
Sewer District # 1, $25.89, dater District # 1, $1,948.22.
Meeting adjourned to June 21, 1972 at 7 P.M.

' , the following Resolution was una;
imously adopted:
WHEREAS, Water District No. 1 intends to commence the install -
tion of a Water Main across the front of lands of George I. Crane
and Doris I. Crane, his wife, and of Carmine Ricottilli and Vincenz
Ricottilli, his wife, and of Guiseppe Sonnacchio and Lina Sonnacchi ,
his wife; and
WHEREAS, Each of the aforesaid persons have delivered to the
Town, their three proposed deeds dated May 30, 1972, conveying a pep-
manent easement or right of way over their lands having a depth of
35 feet from the center of Starr Road in the Town:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, That the aforesaid three easements to lay, maintain
operate, re -lay and remove pipes for the transportation of water
the lands of the aforesaid persons be, and the same hereby are, ac-

own; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Town be, and he hereby is,
uthorized and directed to record the aforesaid three deeds in the
Cortland County Clerk's Office.
