Public Hearing on Water & Sewer Budgets held by the Town Board of
the Town of Cortlandville at 7:30 P.M. Chairman Frank K. Taylor pre-
siding. Other members present were Justices Ron Fish and Don Eaton,
Councilmen Ray Miller and Sherman Griswold.Town Attorney John Gardner,
Town Engineer, Wm. Rowell and Bookeeper, Rudy Krauklis, present.
Also present were Walter Priest, Tom Smith, Shirley Fish.

The Town Clerk read the notice as it appeared in the Cortland
Standard advertis�ing,a Public Hearing on Water and Sewer Budgetso
Water Dist. 1,2,& 3, and Sewer Dist. 1. Sept. 8 & loth.
The Budgets were reviewed by the Board and since no one appeared
to object the hearing was declared closed.
Supervisor Frank K. Taylor presided as the Regular meeting
was called to order. Regarding Preliminary Budgets, 1974:

Motion was made by R. Fish seconded by D. Eaton that the Preliminary

Budget for Water District # 1 be adopted, this motion was passed
unanimously
Motion was made by R. Miller, seconded by S. Griswold that the
Preliminary Budget for Water Dist. # 2 be adopted , this was passed
unanimously.
Motion was made by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Fish that the Preliminary
Budget for Dist. 3 (Water ) be adopted, this motion was passed unan-
imously.

become Annual Budgets

attend the judicial
Conference Sept. 23,to 26, and that
necessary
expenses be paid by the Town. This motion was passed unanimously.
Uon motion by Mr. Griswold and seconded by Mr. Miller the following
'Resolution was unanimously adopted:
WHEREAS, A copy of a Notice of Action for Review of Assessment and
verified petition in the Supreme Court of the County of bortland in
a preceeding entitled "In the Matter of the Application of James G. Brown
abd Vesta Corset Company, Inc., Petitioners, against Robert J. Wells, as
Assessor for the Town of Cortlandville and the Board of Assessment Review
for the Town of Cortlandville" Respondents, For Review of a Tax Assessment
under Article 7 of the Real Property Tax Law" has been served upon the
Town Assessor, the Chairman of the Board of Assessment Review and the
Town Clerk on or about the 22nd day of August, 1973; be it
RESOLVED, That said copies of the Notice of Application for Review of
Assessment and verified petition be accepted and filed in the Office of
the Town Clerk; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Town Attorney be, and he is, authorized and direct*
to defend said action in the Supreme Court of Cortland County as
attorney for the Assessor and the Board of Assessment Review of the Town.
19-� Motion was made by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Fish that County High-
way Supt. Walter Tennant be authorized to proceed with necessary procedure
in order to get a lower speed limit on the Kinney Gulf Road from Rta 281
to the Hoy Road. This motion was carried.
Motion was made by Mr. Fish seconded by Mr. Miller that the Board
adjourn, This was unanimous.
