Town Hall, Town of Cortlandville Regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Cortlandtille was held at the above time with Frank K. Taylor, presiding. Other Board members present were, Justices Ron Fish and Don Eaton, Councilmen Sherman Griswold and Ray E. Miller. Also present, Town Engineer, Wm. Rowell, Town Attorney John J. Gardner,Rudy Krauklis, Book-keeper,Robert Wells Assessor, Ronald Petracca, and Deputy Clerk M. Brookins. Town Clerk Brookins, read the minutes of the last meeting and there were no corrections. Mr. Brookins asked the Board to renew Abraham McCloy's house trailer permit for which he had reed the $16.66 fee. RESOLUTION: Motion was made by Mr. Eaton seconded S by Mr. Miller that the house trailer permit of Mr McCloy' be renewed, this motion was passed unanimously. RESOLUTION: Motion was made by Justice Eaton seconded by Justice Fish, that the following be desig- nated as polling places for voting in Primary and Fall Elections; Dist.l Cortlandville Town Garage, off Rte .41 Dist. 2 Grange Hall, Blodgett Mills Dist. 3 Town Hall, Terrace Road Dist, 4 Grange Hall , Groton Ave. Ext. Dis;: b _15 Fire House, Village of McGraw Dist. 6 Grange Hall, South Cortland The above Resolution, designating the polling places in the Town of Cortlandville,was passed unanimously. RESOLUTION: Motion was made by Justice Eaton S� seconded by Councilman Griswold that the Town Board accept the recommendation of County Republican Chairman John Kimmich, pursuant to Section 43 of the Election Law regarding the appointment of Election Inspectors for a one year term starting _70 &- 1, 1973. Cortland, Alternates May 3, 1973, minutes continued: 223 4PRESOLUTION: Motion was made by Councilman Ray Miller seconded by Justice Eaton that the Town Board accept the recommendation of Democrat Chairman, Victor Bahou regarding the appointment of Election Inspectors for a term of 1 year starting June 1, 1973. This motion was carried unanimously. The Election inspectors will receive $2.00 per hour for time actually worked and the Chairman will receive $5.00 for serving as chairman, approved by the Town Board of the Town of Cortlandville. APPLICATION, REGARDING THE RECREATION PROGRAM WITH THE VILLAGE OF MCGRAW. -�� The following resolution was adopted upon motion of Justice Fish seconded by Councilman Miller, all voting in the affirmative. OGA WHEREAS monies have been allocated in the 1973 Budget in the Town of Cortlandville for Recreation with the Village of McGraw as well as monies for the purchase of materials for a Youth Recreation Program in the nature of Arts and Crafts to be used in the Town outside of the Village of McGraw for a Youth Recreation Program, therefor, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorize the Supervisor, Frank K. Taylor to sign an application for this project and that the Town Clerk, Lelan M. Brookins, be authorized to sign the Resolution of Certification. RESOLUTION: On motion of Justice Eaton and properly seconded by Councilman Miller and unanimously adopted, the following resolution was placed upon the minute book of the Town of Cortlandville. RESOLVED: That the Federal Revenue Sharing monies for the period from January 1, 1973 to June 30,1973 in the sum of Eighteen Thousand, one hundred twenty-three dollars, ($18,123.00) be set aside for multiple purpose Town Building. 2 The Town Attorney reported that annexation of 27.37 acres of land in the Town by the City of Cortland as approved by order of the Town Board on September 6, 1972 was completed when the Common Council of said City on November 28, 1972, adopted its Local Law No. 8 of 1972 effective January 1, 1973, Motion was made by Justice Fish seconded by Councilman Griswold to accept said report and so designate in the Town Minute Book. This motion was passed unanimously. A letter from Vincent L. Tofany, Commissioner, Dept. of Motor Vechiles was brought to the attention of the Town Board and will be entered in the minutes Mr. Taylor read a letter he had reed from a resident regarding the trash, rubbish etc. in back of MacDonald's Restaurant. The Town Clerk will look into this complaint. The Bids on the proposed new building addition on the Water & Sewer Dept. Garage were opened at 8 P.M. by the Town Clerk as follows: Wilson & Greene Lumber Company $3,897•07 Pratt Coal & Lumber dompany 3,080.08 Bestway Enterprises 2,855.12 After review and discussion, Motion was made by Justice Fish seconded by Councilman Miller that the low bid of Bestway Emterprises be accepted, this motion was passed all voting ayes. Mr. Ron Petracca was authorized to proceed with his Improvements at the Lamont Circle playground and present the bill to the Board. There followed discussion in regard to establishing a Fire District. This will take much more study to come up with boundary lines and cost figures. Motion was made by Mr. Miller seconded by Mr. Eaton that all bills as presented by the Town Clerk and audited by the Town Board be paid as follows: General Fund $6202.65 Highway 2263.66 Water Dist. 1 889.28 Sever Dist. 670.89 This motion was passed unanimously.
