Regular meeting of the Town Board of Cortlandville
Members present were: presiding.Chairman Frank K. Taylor,
Supervisor, 'councilmen Sherman Griswold and Ray E. Miller
Justices, Ronald Fish and Donald Eaton, R. Krauklis, Book-
keeper for tupervisor4s accounts, Town Engineer, Wm, Rowell,
Town Attorney John Gardner, Town Assessor, Robert Wells,
Fred Walker, Maintenance, Water & Sewer Dept.M. Brookins, C.
Canestaro,
Others present were: Mr. & Mrs. Priest, Mrs. McLaughlin and
® Mrs. ; :., Walter Goodale, Thomas Smith, (Skip ��,��✓;
reporter, Cortland Standard) Karl Wendt, Bill Parsons, Fire
Co-ordinator,Geo Proper, N.Y.State ,Fire Protection Specialist,
and another, Mayor Calale, Fire Chief of Homer and other
interested persons relative to Fire Protection.
Town Clerk read the minutes of the previous meeting and

Motion was made by Don Eaton seconded by R. Miller that the
House Trailer permit of Walter Westendorf for hishired man,
is renewed for a A month period rl fee o, $10.00 be accepted
by the Town Clerk. -this motion was passed unaninously
Mr. Fish reports a verbal communication with ter Tennant,
County Supt. of Highways regarding street lighting on Route 11
between City Line and A.B.Brown'sfrequesting the consideration
of the Town for this expense. No action was taken at this time.

ment, pipe and supplies. Mr. Eaton will present plans and are;k

Engineer and Board.

Second regular meeting of the Town toard , Town of Cortlandville
April 18, 1973 at 7;30 P.M., Frank K. Taylor Supervisor, pre-
siding. Board members present were, Donald Eaton, J.P.,R.E.Miller
and Sherman Griswold, Councilmen, Ron. Fish J.P., was not present
at this time., also present, R.Krauklis, Bookeeper for Supervisor,
Town Engineer, Wm. Rowell, Town ,attorney, John Gardner,, Town HGWY.
® Supt. Lou Wagner, Fred Walker, Water and. Sewer Maintenance, Town
Assessor, Robert Wells, Mr. Brookins, Town Clerk was absent at this
time because of illness.Also, Deputy Town Clerk Brookins and Chris
Canestaro.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read with no corrections.
Supervisor Taylor read a communication from Mayor Calale of Homer
relative to Sewer, Town Engineer, William Rowell will look into this
further • report back o the Board.
Mr. Taylor reported to the Board that in the survey of land for pro-
posed water tanks in the area of Highland Road that the owner is
asking $80,000. The Town Board feels they could not consider this
amount for said land , there is need for further research for this
proJect and o obe made o the Board.
RESOLUTION:
Motion was made by tonald Eaton, J.P., seconded by Ray Miller, council-
man, that Mrs. 9hristine Canestaro be paid $100.00 per week, beginning
April lst. 1973. A 1430 1-from $3390.00 to $4072.50, Supplemental Appro.
Balance of $682.50 from Unexpended Balance. This motion was passed
0 unanimously.

two day seminar, May 18th
and
19th,of the ABA
,in Syracuse,
N.Y. at
Town Expense.

be permitted to attend the ABA, at Town Expense, May 18 & 19, in Syracus

Town Attorney be auihor'ized to -prepare specifications for
Bids on Water Dept. Building, Motion carried.

Mr. Wagner, Highway Supt® had a communication from Geo ?AcDermant
a Staff member at University College at Cortland (also a member
of the Environmental Management Counsel)requesting attention in
regard to the need for gravel on Hoxie Gorge Road in the area of
lands owned by the State College® Mr® WagnLer will consult with
Mr, McDermont, Mrs, Wagner also inquired if there were flans available
for the Blodgett MAlls playground.® He was advised that there was
funds in they Dudgett for playgrounds, including Lamont Circle play®
There being no further business at this time, motion was made by
R.Miller, seconded by DEaton that meeting
