Final Meeting of the Year with Supervisor Frank K. Taylor, pre-
siding, other Board members present were, Justices, Don Eaton and
Ron Fish, Councilmen Sherman Griswold and Ray Miller, also Rudy
Krauklis, Book-keeper for Supervisor, Accounts. Louis Wagner, Hgwy
Supt. Henry Wadsworth, Assessor, John J. Gardner, Town Attorney, and
Mr. Robert Wells.
Town Clerk read the minutes of the last meeting and there were
no corrections.
RESOLUTION:
was ma ,yMotion 'v made by Mr. Miller seconded by Mr. Eaton that the
House Trailer permit for Willard Griswold be extended 6 months, upnn
payment of Fee of 9 10.00. This Resolution was carried unanimously.
Town Clerk read the Resignation of Henry Wadsworth, Assessor
effective as of December 31, 1972-
RE30LUTION:
Motion was made by Mr. Miller seconded. by Mr. Eaton that the
resignation of Henry Wadsworth as Town Assessor, be accepted and.
filed. This resolution was carried unanimously
A letter from Town Attorney reads as follows:
At the regular meeting of the Town Board held Dec. 20, 1972, the
nuestion about the rovers and dutieg of the Tax Collector of the Town
of Cortlandville etas raised.
Section 35 and, 36 of the Town Eqw state that the Tax Collector shall
collect the taxes and deposit them within twenty-four hours in a bank de-
signated by the Town BoRrd..
Section 904 of the Real Property Law (Tax Law) provides that the,
Tax Warrant shall direct the Tax Collector to nay not later than 1. week
after April lst (a) to the Supervisor an amount equal to the sun levied
for Town purposes and such other amounts as may be required by law to be
paid. to the Supervisor and (b) to the Treasurer the residue of the amount
cillected.
IT IS MY OPINION THAT THE PRESENT SYSTEM USED BY THE TAX COLLECTOR
(LELAN M. BROOKINS) COMPLIES WITH THE LAW. John J. Gardner, Town Att.

Motion by Mr. Fish seconded by Mr. Griswold that all Town Officials,
elected. or appointed be given. permission to attend the Assoc. of Towns
Meeting in N.Y.City, Feb. 5,6,7, 1973 at Town expense, This motion was
carried

Supervisor Taylor had a letter from John S. MacNeil Jr. regarding
the J.Richard Harris property which Mr. Harris mould like to develop,
the falls within the water district but not in the Sever District.
Mr, Taylor has two preliminary -naps of this proposed development
located on Fairview Dr®
Motion was made by Mr. Miller seconded by Mr. Fish that all bills as
rresented by the Town Clerk and audit:-d by the Town Board be paid as follows:
General Fund $1801.84
Highway Fund 2358-14
Water Dist. 1. 514.61
This motion wss carried.
Motion made by Don Eaton,seconded by Bay Miller that the Organizational
meeting be held. at 6:00 o'clock so that Town. Officials may attend the
retirement dinner for Henry Wadsworth, retiring assessor. Motion carried.
There being no further business at this time, meeting was adjourned.
