building dated April 13, 1974. The said settlement shall
include the return of a check in the sum of $357,57 dated
October 18, 1974 payable to Karl H. Wendt pursuant to
Resolution #129 dated October 16, 1974; and be it further
RESOLVED, That Attorney Edward Purser be, and he hereby is,
instructed to have said settlement approved by a Supreme
Court Justice, pursuant to Section 68 of the Town Law.
A discussion was had on the 14 applications received
for the position of Zoning Enforcement Officer,
Justice Eaton stated he felt that the applicant hired
should be hired on a 90 day trial basis to give the
applicant a chance to see if he liked the job and for the
Town to see if he is meeting the qualifications of the
position.
The recommendation of the members of the Board present
was to re -interview two of the applicants, Donald Nye and
Donald Fowler.
There being no further business, upon motion of
Councilman Miller, seconded by Justice Eaton, all voting
aye, the meeting was adjourned at 4:33 p.m.

Dear Mr. Blatchley:
At the last meeting of the Legislative Airport Committee some mem-
bers expressed concern over the possibility of some rumors and misin-
formation being heard concerning the Master Plan Study for the Cortland
County Airport.
As Chairman of the Committee, I can assure you that it is our de-
sire and intention to meet with you and members of the Town Board at
such time we are prepared to make a decision with regard to this study.
Needless to say, we are all aware of the importance of public participa-
tion and discussions in any major undertakings by the County. Our Direc-
tor of Planning, Mr. Theodore Zollendeck, has assured us he has communi-
cated with you and kept you abreast of our progress. He is keenly aware
of our concern about the possible impact of any improvement of the air-
port upon the Town of Cortlandville.
To bring you up to date, our Consultant, TransPlan, Inc. of New
York City, has completed the first report, Inventory and shortly is
expected to complete a second report, Forecasts and Demand/Capacity,
dealing with forecasts and aviation demands. As you can see, we are
in the very early stages of this study and are only collecting techni-
cal data at this point.,
I trust that this will assure you that we intend to communicate
with the Town of Cortlandville as well as the general -public well in
advance of any decisions or reports of this Committee.
If you have any specific questions, please let me know. -
