A special meeting of the town board was held at the town hall,
15 Terrace Rd., with Supervisor, Robert P. Blatchley presiding. Other
board members present weres Justices, Donald Eaton and Ronald Fish; and
Councilman, Sherman Griswold. Councilman Ray Miller was absent. Also
present was Town Clerk, Christine Canestaro and Attorney, John Gardner.
. The meeting was called by the supervisor in order to take action
on Local Law #1. Upon motion of Councilman Griswold, seconded by Justice
Eaton, the following local law was duly adopted. Votes: Justice Eaton, aye;
JustieeG.Fish!;.,_are_,Oouacilman Griswold, aye; Supervisor Blatchley, aye.

Town of Cortlandville
• Cortland County, New York
A LOCAL LAW of the Town of Cortlandville pursuant to Article 24 of the
New York Environmental Conservation Law to provide for the protection,
preservation and conservation of the freshwater wetlands within its boundaries.
BE IT ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Cortlandville, New York
as follows:
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 24-0501 of the New York State
Freshwater Wetlands Act (Article 24 of the New York Environmental Conser-
vation Law), the Town of Cortlandville shall fully undertake and exercise
its regulatory authority with regard to activities subject to regulation
under the Act in freshwater wetlands, as shown on the Freshwater Wetlands
Map, as such map may from time to time be amended, filed by the Department
of Environmental Conservation pursuant to the Act, and in all areas adjacent
to any such freshwater wetland up to 100 feet from the boundary of such
wetland. Such regulatory authority shall be undertaken and exercised in
accordance with all of the procedures, concepts and definitions set forth
in Article 24 of the New York Environmental Conservation Law and Title 23
of Article 71 of such law relating to the enforcement of Article 24, as
such law may from time to time be amended.
Section 2. This law, adopted on the date set forth below, shall take
effect upon the filing with the clerk of the Town of Cortlandville of the
final Freshwater Wetlands Map by the New York State Department of
Environmental Conservation pursuant to Section 24-0301 of the Freshwater
Wetlands Act applicable to any or all lands within the Town of Cortlandville.

There being no further business, upon motion of Justice Fish,
seconded by Justice Eaton, the meeting was adjaurned at 12:05 p.m., all
voting aye.
