TOWN BOARD MEETING
Special Meeting 7 : 30 p . m . . October 2 , 1991

Supervisor Dietrich called the meeting to order at 7 : 30 P . M .
A special meeting of the Town of Danby Town Board was held to work
on the Fiscal Year 1992 town budget . The following items were
discussed .
Jennings Pond_ The Community Council request for funding for
Jennings Pond is included in the budget . There was discussion in
regard to the Jennings Pond Committee to carry through and appoint
a person ( or group ) to oversee program early in the spring for the
1992 season .
A7150 - Recreation - reduced ( changed to $ 4884 . 00 .
After School and ACE_Program_:_
Ithaca City School District contribution for the After School and
ACE Program ( $ 3 , 500 ) is not available for 1992 .
Highway CSEA - Town of Danby Contract
Supervisor Dietrich reported that them CSEpA1 Contract with the Town
o f Danby Highway employees has beeelS-1.4196746 al a three - year contract
w ith a 3 % increase for 1992 , 4 % 193 and 5 % 1994 .
8160_4=_Refuse and Garbage
There will be no tipping fees associated with the Clean - up day for
Danby - reduced $ 3 , 000 . 00 .
L egal and _Lawyer ' s Fees
W ill be adjusted later .
Planning and Zoning __
Reduced to a total of $ 1 , 600 . 00
Bookkeepers Request
Mildred Miller has submitted a request for a computer , program ,
software and typewriter . ( Request for typewriter questioned . )
No decision was made on the bookkeeping budget request .
Dog Control Officer
Has requested a raise for 1992 .
Town_Garage_ = A51.32 . 4
Reduced to $ 30 , 000 .
Youth Services - Jennings Pond
The operation of Jennings Pond was discussed and the Town Board
suggested the pond be in operation for swimming Thursday - Sunday .
It will be necessary for citizens to raise $ 1 , 100 for this program .
Next Budget Meeting _
The next Town Board Budget Meeting will be held on October 9 , 1991
at 7 : 00 P . M . , Town Hall , 1830 Danby Road .

DELTA KAPPA FRATERNITY - REQUEST FOR PUBLIC_ GATHERING
Two representatives of the Delta Kappa Fraternity approached the
Town Board with a request for permission from the Town to hold a
large gathering on their property on Durfee Hill Road . The request
was for written consent to enable them to obtain a permit to have
alcoholic beverages on the premises .
Request for letter of consent was denied as the Delta Kappa
Fraternity is in a populated residential neighborhood . The Town
has received many complaints resulting from activities at the Delta
Kappa Fraternity .
