SPECIAL MEETING
A special meeting of the Town Board was held on
Wednesday, December 19, 1979 at the Town Hall, 15 Terrace
Rd, Cortland, N.Y. at 4:30 p.m. with Supervisor Nadolski
presiding.
Board Members present were Councilman Edwin O'I-onnell,
and Councilman Melvin Pierce. Others present were Town
Clerk, Pauline Parker; Justice Donald Eaton; Assessor Robert
Wells; and Engineer, Charles Feiszli. Also Newsreporter,
Skip Chapman and Jane Dallas and Marguerite Walrad from the
S.P.C.A..
® The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Nadolski.
RESOLUTION # 187 SETTING DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING FOR
INCREASE OF SEWER RENTS
Motion by Councilman Pierce
Seconded by Councilman O'Donnell
Votes: All AYE ADOPTED

BE IT RESOLVED that a Public Hearing will be held at Hearing
the Town Hall on December 27, 1979 at 8:00 p.m. for the Sewer Rents
purpose of amending the Sewer Ordinance of Sewer District
No. 1, to increase the sewer rate charged for Sewer
District No. 1.
The Attorney will publish the Legal Notice. The hearing
will not require a stenographer.
RESOLUTION # 188 AUTHORIZATION TO SOLICIT BIDS FOR THE
FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF ONE NEW 1980
HEAVY DUTY DUMP TRUCK - SNOW PLOW COMBINATION
Motion by Councilman Pierce
Seconded by Councilman O'Donnell Bids for
1980 Heavy VOTES: All AYE ADOPTED y
Duty Dump Truck
BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Clerk be, and she hereby is,
authorized and directed to advertise for sealed bids for
the furnishing and delivery of one new and unused 1980
Heavy Duty Dump Truck - Snow Plow Combination; in
accordance with the specifications set forth in the
information to the bidders, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that sealed bids received will
be opened and read aloud by the Town Clerk at 8:00 p.m.
on January 2, 1980, at the Town Hall, 15 Terrace Road,
Cortlandville, N.Y..

RESOLUTION # 189 AUTHORIZE THE CORTLAND COUNTY SPCA TO
ACT AS THE CORTLANDVILLE DOG CONTROL
OFFICER AND TO PROVIDE SHELTER SERVICES
Motion by Councilman Pierce
Seconded by Councilman O'Donnell
VOTES: All AYE ADOPTED SPCA TO act as
DCO
BE IT RESOOVED that the Cortland County S.P.C.A. is
hereby authorized and directed to act as the Dog Control
Officer for the Town of Cortlardville, commencing
January 1, 1980 and shall terminate December 31, 1980,
and further
RESOLVED that they shall be deemed the agency to provide
shelter services for all seized dogs picked up by the
D.C.O., and

RESOLVED that they shall conform to Article 3 of the
Agriculture and Markets Law; Chapter 220 and 221, and
RESOLVED that they shall enforce the Town of Cortlandville
Dog Ordinance, effective January 1, 1980, and
RESOLVED that the contract fee for 1980 shall not exceed
$7600.,and shall be paid in 12 monthly installments.
There being no further business, motion was made by
Councilman O'Donnell, seconded by Councilman Pierce, to adjourn
the meeting. All voting, Aye... the meeting,, -Was adjourned
at 4:55 p.m. •
