SPECIAL MEETING
A special meeting of the Town Board was held on -
Monday, April 9, 1979, at the Town Hall, 15 Terrace Road,
Cortland, NY. Supervisor Nadolski called the meeting to
order at 5:30 P.M.
Board members present were: Councilman -Pierce, --
Councilman Thorpe and Councilman Miller. Others present
were Town Clerk, Pauline Parker; Attorney,'John Folmer;
Justice, Donald Eaton; Zoning Officer, Don Fowler and
Assessor Robert Wells.
Attorney Folmer apprised the board that the resolution
needed for Bonding of the McLean Road Sewer, Sewer District •
# 2, could not be adopted at this meeting as we must have
authorization from the Comptroller first. He has written
a letter to accompany our formal application as was
recommended to him.
Supervisor Nadolski stated he and Councilman Pierce
took the formal application to the Applachian Regional
Commission this morning. They reviewed the application
and felt all was in order. They also commented, that
possibly, we should have the decision sometime in June.
An emergency situation has occured this morning,
with the 40 hp motor on the pump of Well # 2. This motor
has been -rebuilt several times and at this time is not
repairable. Ray Randolph was contacted and he advised
that we purchase a new pump, at an estimated cost of
2,000.00.
RESOLUTION # STATE OF EMERGENCY DECLARED FOR WELL # 2
Motion made by Councilman Thorpe
Seconded by Councilman Miller
State of emergency All Voting: AYE ADOPTED
for Well # 2
BE IT RESOLVED, that authorization is hereby given
to declare a state of Emergency at Well # 2, in the
Town of Cortlandville, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that authorization is
hereby given to purchase a new motor, the cost not
to exceed $ 2,000.00.
Town Clerk, Pauline Parker apprised the board, that
the contract on the Minolta # 101 Coping machine, expires
at the end of May. Several proposals have been left to
be reviewed by the board. Much discussion followed.
The Town Board requested the Town Clerk to contact Eastern
Copier Products and get more information regarding the
copying machine we are now using.
In reference to the Modular Homes being built at •
Lake Mary Campground, Zoning Officer, Don Fowler reported
they are there for selling purposes only.
There being no further business, upon motion by
Councilman Thorpe, seconded by Councilman Miller, All
voting, AYE. The meeting was adjourned at 5:55 P.M.
