SPECIAL MEETING
A special meeting of the Town Board was held on
Thursday, March 15, 1979 at the Town Hall, 15 Terrace
Road, Cortland, New York, with Supervisor Nadolski
presiding. The special meeting was called by the
supervisor to set a date and time for a Public Hearing
on the Creation of a new Town Sewer District for the
area to be served by the proposed McLean Trunk Line
Sewer and also to discuss the flooding situation in the
South Cortland area.
Board members present were: Supervisor Nadolski,
® Councilman Miller, Councilman Manning, Councilman Pierce
and Councilman Thorpe. Others present were: Town Clerk,
Pauline Parker; Attorney, John Folmer; Justice, Donald
Eaton; Highway Sup't, Carl Eaton; Zoning Officer, Don
Fowler and Betty Palm.
RESOLUTION # 52 SETTING DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR
THE CREATION OF A NEW SEWER DISTRICT
KNOWN AS MC LEAN ROAD SEWER DISTRICT
Motion made by Councilman Thorpe
Seconded by Councilman Pierce

RESOLUTION # 53 AUTHORIZATION FOR THE STUDIES OF THE
FLOODING IN THE SOUTH CORTLAND AREA
Motion made by Councilman Manning
Seconded by Councilman Miller
All Voting AYE ADOPTED
WHEREAS there has.been serious flooding conditions
in the South Cortland area
BE IT RESOLVED that the supervisor is, and hereby
authorized and directed to contact the Cortland
County Highway Dept. and the New York State Highway
Dept. to make a study of the flooding situation •
in South Cortland.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the supervisor shall
write a letter to the Department of Transportation
(D.O.T.) to advise them of the situation, and request
a study of such.
There being no further business, motion was made by
Councilman Thorpe; seconded -by Councilman Pierce to adjourn.
All Voting, Aye, motion was carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:48 P.M.
