The meeting was held at 15 Terrace Road, Cortland, New York. Those present were Supervisor Nadolski, Councilman Ray Miller, Councilman Warren Manning, Councilman Melvin Pierce and Town Clerk Pauline Parker. Councilman Ray Thorpe was absent. RESOLUTION # 171 RESCIND RESOLUTION # 162 OF NOVEMBER 20, 1978 Motion made by Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman Pierce, All Voting Aye.... ADOPTED. WHEREAS, Resolution Number 162 of November 20, 1978 is hereby rescinded by Resolution Number 171 ® NOW THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED, that Resolution 162 of November 20, 1978 become null and void RESOLUTION # 172 REQUESTING COUNTY LEGISLATURE TO APPLY SURPLUS SALES AND USE TAX TO REDUCE COUNTY TAX LEVY IN AREAS OUTSIDE VILLAGES FOR 1979 Motion made by Councilman Pierce, seconded by Councilman Manning, All Votes Aye... ADOPTED. WHEREAS, Pursuant to Resolution No. 118 adopted at a Special Meeting of this Board held on August 29, 1978, the Town of Cortlandville elected to have its proportionate share of the Cortland County Sales and Use Tax which is due the area of the Town outside of villages be paid in cash directly to the Town to be used for any legal Town, outside village purposes and WHEREAS, pursuant to the Towns election referred to herein the amount of Sales Tax to be received by the Town of Cortlandville will exceed the amount necessary to fund that portion of the budget attributable to areas outside of villages, and WHEREAS, there will therefore be a surplus of Sales Tax available and which this Board desires to be credited against the County Tax in the area of the Town outside of villages, and WHEREAS, the surplus referred to herein will be in the amount of $ 4.70.000. NOW THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED, that the Cortland County Legislature be and hereby is requested to apply said amount of $ 470,000. surplus sales tax as referred to herein, to the reduction of the County Tax levied against the real property in the area of the Town of Cortlandville outside of the villages for the fiscal year 1979 and be it further RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk be and she is hereby is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Cortland County Legislature ® Res ectfully Sub 'tted, i Pauline H. Parker Town Clerk PHP : ncr Thursday, December 28, 1978 7:30 P.M. , �r The final meeting of the Cortlandville Town Board for the year 1978, was held at 7:30 P.M. at 15 Terrace Road, Cortland, New York with Supervisor Nadolski presiding. Other board members present werep Councilman Warren Manning, Councilman Melvin Pierce, Councilman Rky'Miller, Councilman Ray Thorpe. Also present was Town Clerk, Pauline Parker, Town Attorney John Gardner, Assessor Robert Wells and ZoningEnforcement Officer Don Fowler. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Nadolski at TOO P.M. Supervisor Nadolski requested authorization from the board to sign the following contracts: Lamont Memorial Contract, Cortland Free Library Contract and the SPCA Contract. RESOLUTION # 173 AUTHORIZATION FOR SUPERVISOR NADOLSKI TO SIGN CONTRACTS ® Motion made by Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman Thorpe, All Votes Aye.... APPROVED. BE IT RESOLVED, that authorization is hereby given to Superisor Nadolski to sign the Lamont Memorial Library Contract, the Cortland Free Library Contract and the SPCA Contract for 1979a RESOLUTION # 174 AUTHORIZING TRANSFERRALS OF MONIES TO BALANCE BUDGET Motion made by Councilman Thorpe, seoconded by Councilman Pierce, All Votes Aye.... APPROVED. BE IT RESOLVED, that the following transfers be made to balance the 1979 budget: a.. $ 182.00 from A1110.4 to A1010.4 b. 292.00 " A1355.4 to A1220.4 C. 10.00 " A1355.4 to A1410.4 d. 12.00 " A1355.4 to Al 431.4 e. 10.00 " A1355.4 to A5010.4 f. .110 " DM5130.4 to DM51 30.1 g. 13.50 " SW28340.1 to SW28320.4 h. increase appropriation account WH 5-8340.A9.00 (WaterDistrict # 5 construction) from surplus funds RESOLUTION # 175 AUTHORIZATION TO PAY ALL OUTSTANDING BILLS AS AUDITED Motion made by Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman Manning, All Votes Aye...
