Collins had ex - tended his hours . Mr . Todd further reported that if each citizen in the Town would take just a little more pride , littering would be less a problem , and that the citizens at the George Junior Republic h ad recently cleaned all the roads leading to the Republic and in each 2 mile area they had a pick - up truck full of cans , papers etc . Building & Grounds - Supervisor Lee reported that Mr . Munch who is now cleaning the Town Hall had reported to him that the polisher was not working so all he could do was mop the floors each week . H e further reported that perhaps we should look intolthe possibility of either a new polisher or rental units . Councilman Gridley will check this out and report back at the next Board Meeting . Supervisor Lee reported that he had attended the Tompkins County Highway Superintendents Dinner at the new Lansing Garage and it was the most functional garage he had ever seen , and Mr . Sharpsteen had stated that instead of taking two hours in the winter to get his crews on the road he would be able to do it in 2 hour now . Supervisor Lee then went on to report that the Highway Garage in the Town of Dryden would need to have an addition buildmito house trucks and he would like the Board to consider whether it would be feasible to build h ere since an additional 200 apartment units would be going in across the Street from the Garage , and he had heard the Village might put a street in from East Main Street to Lee Road boxing us in or should we consider building new facilities at another site such as at the old dump site on Johnson Road which is owned by the Town and has approximately 10 acres . He would like to h ave them distributed to various locations in the Town for residents to pick up and he was saving 300 copies for distribution at the f irst Public Hearing . He further reported to the Town Board that the Planning Board had been designated the Zoning Commission on September 5 , 1962 and ' now that the Zoning Ordinance had been turned over to the Town Board this Commission was disolved - as the job had been completed .
