HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-07-13 49 July 13 , 1965 . The regular monthly meeting of the Dryden Town Board was called to order by the Supervisor at 8 : 00 P . M . Present were Supervisor Gridley , Councilman Lee , Justices Hoagland and Spaulding , Assesor Abrams and Attorney Amdur . Councilman Benson absent The minutes of the last regular meeting , also special meeting , were approved . Mr . Levetich , architect , was present and presented a proposed future development plan for Town barn , parking facilities and improvement of grounds . • Also present was Mr . R . tf . ' Denman , rural consultant , who submitted plans for numbering of houses , farms and business placec in the `.; :.-Town of Dryden . RESOLUTION # 09 Survey and numbering of houses • Councilman Lee offered the following resolution and moved its adoption : RESOLVED , that Supervisor Gridley be authorized to sign agreement , whereby the Town of Dryden accept the contract and supplement of R . H . Denman . and be it further . RESOLVED , that the sum of $ 1400 . 00 be appropriated from surplus funds for payment of contract . ( Contract filed in 'minute book ) Resolution seconded by Justice Hoagland . Roll call vote , all YES . Councilman Benson absent . ' RESOLUTION # 70 Election. Inspectors . • Justice Hoagland offered the following resolution and moved its adoption : RESOLVED , that the ' list of election inspectors as presented by Republican chairman Newhart be accepted . In the absence of a list from the Democratic chairman , the Board hereby does appoint those who served in 1964 , with the exception of Lois Beck deceased . RESOLUTION No . # 73 Audit of General Bills Justice Spaulding offered the following Resolution and moved its adoption : Resolved , that the General bills totaling $ 3 , 582 . 18 and the Youth Project bills totaling , $ 722 . 87 , be paid as audited . Resolution seconded by Councilman Lee . Roll call vote , all YES . Councilman Benson absent . 411 RESOLUTION No #74 Transfer of Funds . Justice Spaulding offered the following Resolution and moved its adoption : Resolved , that $ 266 . 22 be transferred from Items to Item 1 A , Project #25254 . Resolution seeonded by Justice Hoagland . Roll call vote , All YES , Clm . Benson absent . The committee , namely Justice Hoagland and Clm . Lee reported on the ma matter of abondoning the Town Varna Building and recommended that nothing be done regarding it until after January 1 , 1966 . Supervisor Gridley thanked this committee . - A communication was read from Deputy Clerk , R . K . Kellogg , submitting his resignation , effective August 31 , 1965 . RESOLUTION No . #75 Resignation of Deputy Cler Justice Hoagland offered the following Resolution and moved its adoption : Resolved , that Mr . Kellogg ' s resignation be accepted . Resolution seconded by Councilman Lee and carried . RESOLUTION No . # 76 Hearing on Fire Contracts . Supervisor Gridley recommended that the Town Attorney prepare a notice for a public hearing in regard to fire contracts, , and present it at the next Board meeting . Councilman Lee offered this as a Resolution and moved its adoption . Resolution seconded by Justice Hoagland . Roll call vote , all voting YES . Clm . Benson absent . The next meeting of the Board will be held August 10 , 1965 . Moved by Justice Hoagland , seconded by Cl . Lee that the meeting adjourn , Carried .
