Present were Justices Hoagland and Spaulding , Councilmen Benson and Saltonstall , and Hwy . Supt . Case . S econded by Clm . Saltonstall . Roll call vote , all voting YES . • Resolution No . 84 - Audit of Highway Bills Justice Hoagland offered the following resolution and moved its adoption : RESOLVED , that Highway Bills totaling $4102 . 68 be paid as audited . Seconded by Clm . Benson . Roll call vote , all voting YES . • The following correspondence was read : Atty . Williamson - re : Town share of Self - Insurance Plan State Traffic Commission - re : safety controls at intersec - tions on new route 13 Walter Westfall - application for dog enumerator Resolution No . 85 - Appointment of Dog Enumerator Clm . Benson offered the following resolution and moved its adoption : RESOLVED , that Walter Westfall be appointed dog enumerator f or the census to be taken in November , 1964 . S econded by Clm . Saltonstall . Carried . Resolution No . 86 - Junk Yard Control Clm . Saltonstall offered the following resolution and moved its adoption : RESOLVED , that a renewed approach be made to the problem o f junk yard control , starting with the following steps : ( 1 ) Write to Association of Towns , asking if any town has an 'enforceable junk yard ordinance , particularly with respect to control of junk cars , so that a copy can be obtained ; ( 2 ) Ask Atty,: Williamson to approach the problem again ; ( 3 ) Write again to Tompkins County Board of Supervisors , indicating the concern of this Board with the growing problem on a county -wide basis , and asking if there is any possibility of working out some solution with Wallace Steel , Inc . ( 4 ) Organize a town clean -up month . S econded by Clm . Benson . Carried . Resolution No . 87 - Town Clerk Resignation Sup . Gridley read letter of resignation of Town Clerk , Jane Korbas , to be effective September 30 , 1964 . , Justice Spaulding offered the following resolution and moved its adoption : RESOLVED , that this Board accept with regret the resigna- tion of Town Clerk Korbas . Seconded by Clm . Saltonstall . Carried . Letter of application for Town Clerk position , from Mrs . Esther Pulling , was read , and will be held for consideration . Sup . Gridley ✓ eported that there have been several other verbal application, and that Atty . Williamson advises the Deputy Clerk can carry on until a Clerk is appointed . Resolution No . 88 - Deed , Hardesty Road g/ Justice Hoagland offered the following resolution and moved its adoption : RESOLVED , that the deed for a road from L . B . Hardesty be accepted , subject to the approval of Atty . Williamson , County 2 Hwy . Supt . Stevenson , and Town Hwy : Supt . Case . 'r Seconded by Clm . Saltonstall . Carried . Clm . Saltonstall reported that he has received a request from Mr . Donald Hennigan that consideration be given to improvement o f Hunt Hill Road in setting up plans for 1965 . A special road tour was set for Saturday , October 3 , meeting at 9 : 30 a . m . at the home of Justice Spaulding . Resolution No . 89 - Voting Machine Custodians Justice Spaulding offered the following resolution and moved its adoption : RESOLVED , that Charles Downey and Charles McGory be 410 appointed voting machine custodians . S econded by Justice Hoagland . Carried . Hwy . Supt . Case reported regarding highway work : Ferguson Road - basic work should be completed in about 2 weeks Freese Road - extended B aker Hill Road P inkney Road - motor paved from Rt . 13 to railroad tracks Mi11 : St . Freeville - County is about ready for bridge Zeman Rd . - extension yet to be done ( about 1 mile ) Clm . Benson reported that the Planning Board met with Mr . Robideau ✓ egarding electrical code , and will review it before presentation to the Town Board . Clm . Saltonstall made the following suggestions re : highway : Ringwood Road at Ellis Hollow - ask County Hwy Supt . if lines might be painted , in the interest of safety at this intersec - tion , before winter Ringwood Road at Ellis Hollow Creek Road - ask County Hwy . Supt . if correction of the road at this intersection , to make it more ' safe , might be included on 1965 agenda . Resolution No . 90 - Mileage - Justice Clm . Saltonstall offered the following resolution and moved its adoption : RESOLVED , that mileage expense be approved for Justice H oagland to attend the State Magistrates ' conference . S econded by Clm . Benson . Carried . Resolution No . 91 - Highway Supt . Meeting Justice Hoagland offered the following resolution and moved its adoption : RESOLVED , that Hwy . Supt . Case be authorized to attend the meeting of the State Town Superintendents ' Assn . to beheld in Massena , Sept . 23 , 24 , and 25 . S econded by Clm . Saltonstall . Carried . The next regular Board meeting will be Tuesday , October 6th , in o rder to comply with legal requirements for preparation of a 411 preliminary budget . Moved by Justice Hoagland , seconded by Clm .
