PUBLIC HEARING SPECIAL PERMIT - MICHELE PIZZOLA A Public Hearing was held at the Town Hall, Town of Cortlandville at 4:30 P.M. in the matter of an application of Michele Pizzola for a special permit to expand a non- conforming use to permit the applicant to erect an add ition to his residence at 1099 Starr Road. In attendance were Supervisor Nadolski; Councilman Thorpe; Councilman O'Donnell; Councilman Pierce; Attorney Folmer; Town Clerk,Pauline Parker; Engineer Peter Novelli; Zoning Officer, Don Fowler; Mr. Pizzola and his sister. The Public Hearing was opened by Supervisor Nadolski. The Town Clerk read the legal notice as follows: LEGAL NOTICE TOWN OF, CORTLANDVILLE Please take notice that the Town Board of the Town of Cortlandville will hold a public hearing pursuant to Section 1404 (7) (d) of the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Cortlandville on August 16, 1982 at 4:30 P.M. in , the afternoon of said day at Town Hall, Terrace .Road, Town of Cortlandville, Cort- land County, New York on the application of Michele Piz- zola for a special permit to expand a non -conforming use to permit the applicant. to erect an addition • to his residence at 1099 Starr Road, in the Town of Cortlandville, Cortland County, New York. PARKER Town Clerk Town of Cortlandville Town Hall 15 Terrace Road Cortland, New York 13045 184-1t Supervisor Nadolski explained that Mr. Pizzola's daughter was seriously injured in a sledding accident. He needs to put on an addition to his home to accommodate her needs. The application for a special permit has been approved by both, the Cortlandville Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Appeals, but needs final approval from the Town Board. Mr. Pizzola explained that the addition would be on the front of the house and would include an outside ramp. His neighbors are not opposed to the addition. Councilman O'Donnell made a motion, seconded by Council- man Pierce, to close the hearing. All voting aye, the motion was carried. The hearing was closed at 4:35 P.M. Page 1 SPECIAL MEETING A special meeting of the Cortlandville Town Board was held on August 16, 1982, at the Town Hall, 15 Terrace Road, Cortland, New York with Supervisor Nadolski presiding. • Board members present were Supervisor Stanley Nadolski; Councilman Ray Thorpe; Councilman Edwin O'Donnell; Council- man Melvin Pierce; Attorney John Folmer and Town Clerk, Pauline Parker. Others present were Engineer, Peter Novelli; Zoning Officer, Don Fowler and Michele Pizzola and sister. A public hearing was held in the matter of a special permit for Michele Pizzola .' See page 240 Supervisor Nadolski called the meeting to order at 4:35 P.M.. RESOLUTION # 161 AUTHORIZE SPECIAL PERMIT TO MICHELE Pizzola's PIZZOLA Special Permit Motion by Councilman Thorpe Seconded by Councilman Pierce VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED WHEREAS the Cortlandville Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Appeals have reviewed and approved the application of Michele Pizzola, and WHEREAS a public hearing was held by the Town Board, therefore BE IT RESOLVED that the application of Michele Pizzola for a special permit to expand a non -conforming use to permit the applicant to erect an addition to his resid- ence at 1099 Starr Road is hereby approved. RESOLUTION # 162 AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF VOUCHERS pay vouchers Motion by Councilman.Pierce Seconded by Councilman Thorpe VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED BE IT RESOLVED that the vouchers submitted have been audited and shall be paid as follows: GENERAL FUND Vouchers # 282-284 $ 4,199.04 HIGHWAY if# 173-179 1,428.89 WATER FUND # 130-133 1,836.41 SEWER FUND # 45 243•94 Monday, August 16, 1982 Page 2 rescind Res. RESOLUTION # 163 RESCIND RESOLUTION # 139 OF JULY #139 ' 82 19, 1982 Motion by Councilman Pierce Seconded by Councilman Thorpe VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution # 139 adopted on July 19, 1982 is hereby rescinded, as the bids will be for a roof only. Bids for RESOLUTION # 164 AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS Highway Roof FOR HIGHWAY GARAGE ROOF Motion by Councilman O'Donnell Seconded by Councilman Thorpe VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED BE IT RESOLVED that the engineer is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for the receiving of bids for a new roof, and RESOLVED that such bids shall be received, opened and read aloud by the clerk in September 1, 1982 at 7:30 P.M..
