Page 1 SPECIAL MEETING A special meeting of the Cortlandville Town Board was held on October 19, 1981 at the Town Hall, 15 Terrace Road, Cortland, N.Y. with Supervisor Nadolski presiding. Board members present were: Supervisor Nadolski Councilman Thorpe, Councilman Pierce, Councilman O'Donnell, and Deputy Town Clerk, June Bradshaw. Also newsreporter Dick Camerano and Warren Eddy and Dr. Boll from the Cortland Free Library. • Supervisor Nadolski called the meeting to order at 3:45 P.M.. payment of RESOLUTION # 182 AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF VOUCHERS vouchers Motion by Councilman Pierce Seconded by Councilman O'Donnell VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED BE IT RESOLVED that the vouchers submitted have been audited and shall be paid as follows: General Fund Vouchers # 380 - 381 $ 346.79 Highway it# 208 - 209 25,612.47 Water District # 1 # 105 44-62 Sewer District # 1 # 22 171.56 RESOLUTION ;t` 183 AUTHORIZE SUPERVISOR TO SIGN CONTRACT water BETWEEN TOWN AND CITY FOR EMERGENCY WATER contract Motion by Councilman Pierce Seconded by Councilman O'Donnell VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED BE IT RESOLVED that the Supervisor is hereby authorized and directed to sign the contract agreement between the Town of Cortlandville and the City of Cortland for emergency water. Councilman Pierce made a motion, seconded by Council- man O'Donnell to temporarily adjourn the meeting. All voting aye, the motion was carried. Supervisor Nadolski reopened the meeting. transfer RESOLUTION # 184 AUTHORIZE TRANSFER OF FUNDS DM5130.4- funds TO DR 5110.4• Motion by Councilman O'Donnell Seconded by Councilman Pierce VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED Monday, October 19, 1981 Page 2 1A BE IT RESOLVED that the Fiscial Officer is hereby authorized and directed to transfer $ 2,000.00 from DIW15130.4, machinery repair�to DR5110.4, road repair. A discussion was held regarding the requested increase in the 1982 contract with the Cortland Free Library. Mr. Warren Eddy, of Cortland Free Library explained that there is 17% circulation in the Town of Cortlandville. Mr. Eddy stated that their costs are rising, therefore they have to ask the Town for an increase in the contract. • They arrived to the amount of the increase percentage by the circulation. The question was asked if there couldn't be a users charge, but it can't be done. If it was possible the useage of the library would drop fast. Dr. Boll stated he knoiAs that everyone is in a pinch, that is why the board trustees tried to keep the increase down. Supervisor Nadolski thanked Mr. Eddy, and Dr. Boll for coming and explaining the reason for the increase in the contract. No action was taken. Councilman O'Donnell made a motion, seconded by Councilman Pierce, to adjourn the meeting. All voting aye, the motion was carried. The meeting was adjourned at 4:35 P.M..
