The regt.lar monthly meeting of the Dryden Town Board was held
at theiTown Office , Sept . 3 , 1958 at 7 : 30 P . M .
Present were : Sup . Gridley , Justices Spaulding , Whitford , Clm .
B aker , Saltonstall , and Hwy . Spt . Beach .
The minutes of the Aug . meeting were read for information . •
Moved by Clm . Saltonstall , seconded by Justice Spaulding , that
$ 1800 . be transferred from General Fund to Hwy . Fund Item 3 , ( New
E quipment ) . Roll call taken , ail voting yes .
Moved by Justice Whitford , seconded by Clm . Baker that the Hwy .
bills totaling $ 6 , 848 . 23 be paid as audited . Roll call , all voting yes .
Moved by Justice Spaulding , seconded by Clm . Saltonstall , that
the General bills of $ 224 . 35 , and the Youth commission bills of
$ 59 . 40 ; be paid as audited . Roll call , all voting yes .
Messrs . Ben Caveney and John Kingsbury were present and asked
that the Thomas road be tl phd in the near future .
AN communication was read from the State Traffic Commission denying:
the request for a speed zone in the Ellis Hollow area . '
Moved by Justice Spaulding , seconded by Clm . Baker , that the
Hwy . Spt . attend the 29th Annual Convention of Town Supt . of Hwy .
at Onondaga Hotel Syracuse , Sept . 10 , 11 , 12 . The expense of Hwy . Supt .
t o be paid by the Town . Carried .
A ' communication was read from the State Education Dept . regarding
Recreation for the Elderly . This matter was tabled .
The minutes of the Town • of Dryden Planning Board meeting of Aug . 18
were presented and read .
Several changes were necessary on the Board of Election Inspectors .
Moved by Justice Spaulding , seconded by Clm . Baker that the following
or Substitutes
serve as Inspectors , Dis o . Rep . Mrs . Elizabeth. Reed , Dem . Gertrude
V . Carter , Josephine A . Bonner , and Elizabeth S . Dunn ; Dist . 3 , Dem . Edythe

and Mabel Hughes , Dem . Carried .
The two new voting machines were delivered to the Town Office , Sept ,
Moved by Clm . Saltonstall , seconded by Clm . Baker , that the Town
Clerk be authorized to dispose of record items , as per attached list ,
and a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Commissioner
- of Education for his approval . Roll call vote , all voting yes .
The Fall Road Tour will be held on the first rainy day .
These minutes were read and approved . The next Board meeting will
be held Friday , October 3 , 1958 at 7 : 30 p . m .

meeting adjourn . Carried .
