April 3 , 1958
The regular monthly meeting of the Dryden Town Board was held
at the Town Office , Apr . 3 , 1958 at 2 : 00 P . M .
Present were : Supr . Gridley , Justice Whitford , Councilmen Baker ,
and Saltonstall , and Hwy . Supt . Beach .
The minutes of the March meetings were read for information .
Moved by C . Saltonstall , seconded by Clm . Baker , that the general
bills totaling 2 , 162 . 15 , and the youth project bill totaling 15 . 00
be paid as audited . Roll call vote , all voting yes .
Moved by J . Whitford , seconded by Clm . Baker that the Hwy bills to
totaling $ 3 , 244 . 21 be paid as audited . Roll call , All_ voting yes .
William Bailey delivered the new Comphrensive & General Liability
Insurance poli keand explained its coverage .

Albert Oltz Jr , worked for the Town and donated his check of $ 18 . 00
to the Hwy . Fund . The Town Clerk will acknowledgetbhe Boards appreciation ,
Moved by Clm . Saltonstall , seconded by J . Whitford that the budget
note of $ 1 , 013 02 , be paid from Item I surplus . Roll call vote , all .

A, Special Town Election was duly held at the Town Clerk ' s
Office , April 14 , 1958 for the purpose of voting on the proposition
for the purchase od snow removal equipment , not exceeding $ 36 , 000 .
in the year 1958 , ' and finance the same by borrowing moniespursuaJP
to the provisions of the .Local Finance Law , any loan therefor to mature
within five years .
174 ballots were cast .
143 ballots in favor
31 ballots against
The polls were open from 2 : 00 P . F . to 8 : 00 P . M . , The members
of the Town Board ' were the Election Inspectors .
