WORK SESSION
A work session of the Town Board of the Town of.
Cortlandville, regarding revisions to the proposed
Aquifer Law of the Town, was held at the Town Hall, 15
Terrace Road, Cortland, New York, with Supervisor Pierce
presiding.
Members present: Supervisor Melvin Pierce
CounciIman Raymond Thorpe
Councilman Edwin O'DonneIl
Councilman Ronal Rocco
Councilman Theodore Testa
Town Clerk Pauline Parker
Others present were Town Attorney, Phillip RumSey;
Nancy 3arvis, from the Cortland County Planning
Department, and Town resident, Bob Moore.
The
work session was called to
order at 7:00
o'clock
p.m. by Supervisor Pierce. The
purpose of the
meeting
was to review a revised draft
of the proposed
Aquifer
Protection Law before a date
is set for the
final Public
Hearing.
Nancy
Jarvis, the planning Department's
water
quality
management coordinator, reviewed
the revised
changes
with the Board.
The revision of said draft will incorporate changes
suggested at earlier meetings. These wiIl include a
list of criteria to be followed by automobile dealers
whose businesses are located over the aquifer.
Ms. Jarvis apprised the Board that she would make
the necessary changes and present a revised copy to the
Town for distribution.
The work session was closed at 3;30 p.m.
