The regular monthly meeting of the Dryden Town Board was held
at the Town Office on Sept . 3 , 1957 at 7 ;30 . p . m .
`' tPresent were : Supervisor Gridley , Justices Spaulding , Shaw ,
Whitford , Councilman Baker and SupT . ( Hwy . ) Beach .
The minutes of the Aug . meeting were read for information .
Leland Cornelius '„ was present to see about the Town taking over
a road he was building for his developement near Ellis Hollow . The
Board stated that th.'e road would have to be built to meet the Erwin
Specifications and that the Town would not be permitted to assist in
the developement or 'snow removal until accepted by the Town . Investigat -

ion would be made byI the Hwy . Supts . No further action was taken .
Moved by Justice ! Whitford , seconded by Justice Spaulding that the
Hwy . Bills totaling $9 , 097 . 60 , be paid as audited . Rollcall , Allvoting Yes .
Moved by Justice ,3Shaw , segonded by Justice. Spaulding that the
General bills totaling $ 186 . 33 , and the Youth Commission bills totaling
,t95 . 06 be paid as audited . Roll call vote taken , ALL voting yes .
A communication was read from Daniel Crowley , recommending Mrs .
Zelda Weibly as Election Inspector for Dist . No . 2 to replace Mrs .
Fern Carberry who had verbally resigned . Moved by Justice Spaulding ,
seconded by Councilman Baker fihat Mrs . . Carberry ' s resignation be
accepted and Mrs . Zelda Weibly be appointed to serve as Inspector
of Dist . No . 2 . Carried and so ord:erdd .
A communication lIwas read from residents of Ellis Hollow regarding
the naming of their .road .
There was diecusIIsion on Oaths of Office being filed , especially
those of Town Constable .
Moved by JusticeSpaulding , seconded by Justice Whitford , that Stacy
Beach , Hwy . Supt . atte:b d the Convention of Hwy . Supt . at Rochester in
October . Carried and, so ordered .
Resolution made Ipy Councilman Baker , seconded by Justice Shaw , that
the two Justices attend the School for Justices beginning in September
in Ithaca , and The Town pay the $ 5 . 00 fee and mileage . Carried and so
ordered .
The next meeting° will be held Oct . 3 , at 7 : 30 p . m . at Town Office .
These minutes were read and approved .
Moved by Justice Shaw , seconded by Justice Whitford that this
meeting adjourn . Carried .
