May 3 , 1957
The regular monthly meeting of the Dryden Town Board was held
at the Town Office on May 3 , 1957 at 7 : 30 P . M .
Present were l. : Supervisor Gridley , Justices , Shaw , Spaulding ,
Whitford , Councilman Baker and Highway Supt . Beach .
Minutes if the April meeting were for information and approval .
One correction was made . Moved by Councilman Baker , seconded by
Justice Shaw that these minuted be approved as corrected . Carried .
Moved by Justice Whitford , seconded by Councilman Baker that
the Hwy . bills totaling $ 1 , 287 . 18 be paid as audited . Roll call
vote taken , all voting YES . , .
Moved by Justice Shaw , seconded by Justice Spaulding that the
general bills totaling $ 579 . 76 , and the Youth Project bills totaling
$ 35 . 15 be paid as audited . Roll call vote taken , all voting YEg . .
A communication was read from yhe Lyle Signs , Inc . giving the
styles and vanity prices for Street Name Signs . This matter was
referred to Hwy Supt . Beach .
A communication was read from Mrs . Katrina Morse asking if there
was a Town Ordinance governing a smoke nuisance .
The Town Clerk is to notify the Commissioner of Elections that
the following offices are to be filled this fall , Supervisor , Town
Clerk , Highway Superintendent , one Justice , one Councilman .
The Town Clerk is to inform Mr . Brundage of one vacancy in
Dist . No . 3 , Election Inspector , also ask for list of Inaspectors
for June meeting .
A card of thanks and appreciation was read from August Thiede ,
* and the family of Mildred Gridley .
A discussion followed regarding the Planning Commission .
The next meeting will be held Monday evening June 3 , at 7 : 30 PM .
These minutes were read and approved .
Moved by Justice Shaw , seconded by Justice Whitford that this
meeting adjourn . Carried .
