Present weret1, Supervisor Gridley , Justices , Shaw , Whitford. , Spaulding , Councilman Baker , Highway Supt . Beach , & Assessor Abrams . Minutes of the Sept . meeting were read for information . Mrs . Alice Prince , Irene Park , Florence Blodgwtt , and June Wright w ere present to ask for the repairing of about one tenth of a mile of Baker Hill road from the 4 corners to the point of abandonment . The matter was referred to the Supt . of Highways . Moved by Justice Whitford , seconded by Councilman Baker , that the Highway bills Totaling 0 1 , 632 . 63 be paid as audited . Roll call ✓ ote taken , ALL voting YES . Moved by Justice Shaw , seconded by Justice Spaulding that the general bills totaling 4 1 , 317 . 08 and the Youth Commission bills totaling t 105 . 56 be paid as audited . Roll call vote , All VotingYES . Moved by Justice Spaulding , seyonded by Justice Whitford that Charles McGory and, Charles Downey be appointed Election Custodians , at a salary of x56 . 00 for each Custodian . Roll call vote , All v0ing YES . A communication was read from the State Comptroller about having a special census conducted in 1957 . A discussion followed . This matter was tabled till later .. Councilman Baker offered the following resolution and asked its • adoption : • • RESOLVED , that this Town Board does hereby prepare and approve - as the preliminary budget . of this Town for the fiscal year beginning on • the first • day of January , 1957 , the itemized statements of the estimated revenues • and the expenditures . hereto attached and made a part of th! s , resolution , and• be ' it FURTHER. RESOLVED , that . such Preliminary budget shall be filed in the office of . the Town Clerk where it shall be . available ' for inspection by any interested person at all re reasonable • hourd , and be it FURTHER RESOLVED , that this Board . shallmeet between the hoarse of : 8500 and - 9 ; 00 P . J 232 Special Meeting - - - - October 30 , 1956 A special meeting of the Dryden Town Board was held Tuesday , evening , October 30 , 1956 , at 7 : 30 P . M . at the Town Office Building . Supervisor Gridley , Justices Spaulding , Shaw , Whitford , Council - man Baker , and Assessor Abrams were present . This special meetimg was called to discuss the progress of the Town versus . LdPinto case . After much discussion , Justice Spaulding , offered the following resolution and moved its adoption : That the Supervisor be instructed to inform Attorney Newman . to secure the services of Louis K . Thaler to assist as assistant counselor in the Town of Dryden versus LoPinto case . And be it I/ Further Resolved , that Attorney Newman be informed to proceed with the 9 ! t rder to effect an appraisal as previously planned . This . resolution was seconded by Justice Shaw .
