February 3 , 1955 .
The regular monthly meeting of the Dryden Town Board was held
at the Town° fficeBkuilding on February 3rd , 1955 at 7 : 30 P . M .
Present were Supervisor Downey , Justices Baker , Spaulding , Shaw
and Whitford .
The minutes of the January meeting were read for information .
A communication was read from George Guest , Building Inspector ,
stating that a conference and school on a proposed State Building
Construction Code to general buildings was to be held in New York City
February 16th thru the 18th . He asked, if the Town would be willing to
stand part of the expense of his attending this school .
Moved by Justice Shaw , seconded by Justice Whitford , that the Town
pay their share of the expense in sending George Guest to this Con-
ference . Motion was carried .
A communication was read from Chandler Morse regarding the build -
ing of the Ellis Hollow Creek Road . He asked that consideration be
g iven property owners along this road , especially to the unnecessary
✓ emoval of trees . This letter was placed on file . at the Clerk ' s
Office .
Merton Webb , Floyd Hatfield and Keith Hatfield came before the
Board and presented their problem , regarding the condition of the
✓ oad between the Malloryville school house on the McLean road and
the Gulf Hill road . They asked that repairs be made on this road .
It was decided to include this road on the Annual Spring Road tour .
Moved by Justice Spaulding , seconded by Justice Shaw , that the
g eneral bills , totaling 0 , 558 . 54 , and the youth project bills of
474 . 40 , be paid as audited . Roll call vote taken , all voting YES .
Moved by Justice Whitford , seconded by Justice Baker , that a
✓ esolution be passed , whereby the Southworth Library A ppropriation
for 000 . 00 be paid . This was carried .
Moved by Justice Whitford , seconded . by Justice Baker , that the
Highway bills totaling $ 1876 . 27 be paid as audited . Roll call vote ,
all justices voting YES .
Supervisor Downey reported on the State Equalization and Assessment
Meeting that he attended at Albany , N . Y .
Moved by Justice Whitford , seconded by Justice Shaw , that Mrs .
Kenneth Rice be appo-i/ nted Deputy Town Clerk; . This motion was carried .
