The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board was held
on February 3 , 1954 at 7 : 30 P . M . at the Town Office .Building . •
Present were Supervisor Downey , Justices Whitford ,
Shaw , Spaulding , Baker and .Road Superintendent Beach .
The minutes of the last meeting were read for inform7tion .
A communication was read from G . Russel Eddy , Syracuse , N . Y .
submitting a bid of 4150 . 00 for all timbers from the Dryden Fair
House now on the premises of the tract known as the Dryden Fair
Grounds .
A motion made by Justice Shaw , seconded by Justice Spauld -
ing that this bid be accepted . Roll call vote . All voted yes .
Justice Whitford brought before the Board literatureon
d oors for Town Garage .
• Communication was read from Attorney Fricke regarding
h is bill . Justice Whitford made the motion , seconded by Justice
Shaw that his - bill for 4150 . 00 be paid . Roll call vote taken ,
D owney - Yes . , Baker - Yes , Shaw- Yes , Whitford - Yes , Spaulding - No .
Motion Carried .
Moved by Justice Spaulding , seconded by Justice Shaw •
that General bills , totaling 41199 . 54 , plus bill to Brooktondale
Fire Company and Youth Project bills 4102 . 14 be paid as audited . •
Roll call vote , A11 voted Yes .
Moved by Justice Whitford , seconded by Justice Baker •
that the highway bills , totalinr 4586 : 63 be paid as audited , . A• o
also 49100 . 00 for new Brockway Truck . Roll call vote -All voted Yes .
Moved by Justice Baker , seconded by Justice Shaw that
4130 . 80 be transferred from the Contingent Fund to Budget Item
Purchase of furniture . Motion Carried .
In . as much as Floyd Sons could not fulfill their
contract of delivering the truck purchased by the Town , Justice
Whitford made the motion that the Board purchase a 1954 Chevrolet
Pick-up Truck of the College Chevrolet , Ithaca , N . Y . priced at
41 , 160 . 00 , which was the next lowest bid . Justice Baker Seconded
this motion . Roll - call vote . All voted Yes :
. Moved by Justice Shaw , seconded by Justice Whitford
that 45000 . 00 be transferred from the General Fund to the
Highway Fund Item 3 . Motion Carried .
Moved by Justice Whitford , seconded by Justice Shaw ,

that the school board be given permission to use the Town
Board room for their office , if they desire it , providing they
install telephone and do their own janitor work . Motion Carried .
Justice Shaw read a communication from Attorney Newman
regarding regulation of Buildings by Town . , Crdinanyce .
