SPECIAL MEETING
A Special Meeting of the Town of Cortlandville Town
Board was held at the Town Hall, 15 Terrace Road, Cortland,
New York, with Supervisor Pierce presiding.
Members present: Supervisor
Melvin Pierce
Councilman
Warren Manning

Raymond Thorpe
Councilman
Edwin O'Donnell
Town Clerk
Pauline H. Parker
absent: Councilman
Ronal Rocco
Others present included Depputy Town Clerk, Beth
O'Gorman; Engineer', Hayne Smith and -numerous_--interested
bidders.
Supervisor Melvin Pierce called the special meeting
to order at 3:00 p.m.
RESOLUTION #164 TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT
FRANCES E. DARLING
Motion by Councilman Manning
Seconded by Councilman O'Donnell
VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED
WHEREAS, the Cortlandville own Justice has recommended
by letter of August 13 1986 to the Town Board that the
employment of Frances t. Darling, as Town of Cortlandville
Court Clerk be terminated for reasons expressed to the
Board at a duly called executive session on August 6, 1986,
and
WHEREAS, the Town Board has discussed the reasons for said
recommendation with Frances Darling, now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, th.,.t the employment of Frances E .
Darling'as-Town of Cortlandville Deputy Court Clerk
is hereby terminated, effective August 15, 1986, at
4:00 p.m.
Supervisor Pierce announced that receiving of further
bids is no longer permissible for both projects.

Supervisor Pierce advised that bids would be opened Opening of Bid:
for the Portland Cement -Luker Road Project. He stated Portland Cement
that awarding f the bid will occur on August 20, 1986, Luker Road
at the regula9nid-month meetingof the Cortlandville Town
Board.
The Town Glerk opened and read

Opening of Bids Supervisor Pierce advised that bids would be opened

Section 103D of the General Municipal Law, was attached

to the Town Engineer for review.
There bein no further business, amotion was made
byy Councilman Thorpe, seconded by Councilman Manning, to
adjovrn the meeting. All voting aye, the motion was
carried.
The meeting adjourned at 3:10 p.m.
