Present were Supervisor Downey ; Justice's Shaw , Baker , Whitford and Superintendent of Highway Beach . The minutes of previous meeting were read for information and corrected . • On November 8 , 1953 the town clerk Mildred Schutt resigned - her office as town clerk , sand the county clerk was notified of the vacancy . Moved by Justice Whitford and seconded by Justice Shaw that Leona Fortner be appointed town clerk to fill the unexpired term of Miss Sch tt . All voted yes . Insofar as the auditors were working on the town books , Supervisor Downey asked permisson from the State for the audit of the town clerks books to date . His wish was granted .
