Children are normally in bed at times when the track is used . Many people enjoy races asked that their desires be considered . Stated that the Town would benefit economically .. In answer to some of the ,ecr• iticism to the racing statted that loose wheels should be no problem because a fence and embankment should prove adequate protection . The nearest house is 400 feet from the track . Adequate insurance must be provided . • Dust may have been a. factor during construction but should not be during; the races due to treatmen given track . • • He explained - in greater detail the traffic con - • trol contemplated . Ihe meeting was open for discussionox on the passing- of the following ordinance - - - TOWN ORDINANCES The Town Board of the Town of Dryden , under and by virtue of the power in it vested by the Town Law of the State of New York , hereby ordains and enact the _ following Ordinance . • ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN • OF DRYDEN • CHAPTER I SECTION 1 . - Racing of Motor Vehicles It shall be unlawful for any person , firm or corporation to race motor vehicles , or to conduct or • to promote races between motor vehicleE within the Town of Dryden in such a manner as to cause unrease onably loud or disturbing noises of such character , • �n�r�imi.aism- 133 intensity or duration as . to be tetrimental to the peace welfare or v; oocht order of the people , or in such a man- , ner as to cause disorderly , noisy , riotous or tumult - uous conduct within the town . . Vi,olation of theis ordinance , ahall constitute a - misdemeanor and shall be punishable by fine not to exceed the sum of Fifty Dollars ( 50 ) , or ' by imprison - ment for a p : icd not to exceed thirty ( 30 ) days , or both such fine and imprisonment .
