Present were Supervisor Charles G . Downey , Hwy . Supt . S tacy Beach and Justices Harry Spaulding , Alvord Baker , Ara Johnson , D ewey Whitford and Francis Shaw . Sup . Downey presiding . Minutes of the November 2nd . and 9th . meetings were read for information only . Moved by Justice Spaulding and seconded by Justice Shaw that the General bills totaling $ 253 . 37 plus the Bethel Grove , Etna and Varna Youth project bills totaling $ 209 . 79 be paid as audited . Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices voting Yes . Moved by Justice Johnson and seconded by Justice Whitford that the Highway bills totaling $ 2153 . 52 be paid as audited . Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices voting Yes . Moved by Justice Johnson and seconded by Justice Shaw that unex . balbe transferred from the Special Improvement Fund and Hwy . Contingent Fund to General repairs . Carried and so ordered . Moved by Justice Spaulding and seconded by Justice Shaw that the First National Bank of Dryden be designated as a depository for the Town _of Dryden monies for the year 1952 . Carried and so ordered . Justice Whitford offered the following resolution and asked its adoption RESOLVED , by the Town Board of the Town of Dryden that . Lois H . Beck , Town Clerk be , and hereby is , authorized to dispose of ✓ ecord Items No . 1 through 8 on the Record Disposition Request List No . 1 , dated 10/51 , issued pursuant to Section 114 of the regulations o f the Commissioner of Education , and be it futher RESOLVED , that the Clerk of this Board be and is hereby directed to furnish a certified copy of this Resolution to Lois H . Beck , Town Clerk , to be forwarded to the Commissioner of Education . Seconded by Justice Shaw . Carried . Moved by Justice Whitford and seconded by Justice Spaulding that December 28th . be designated as Annual Audit Day for the ' Town . Meeting to open at 9 : 00 A . M . Carried and so ordered . Moved by Justice Whitford and seconded by Justice Johnson that all Bills and Checks be issued by December 16th . Carried . Moved by Justice Shaw and seconded by Justice Whitford that Ira W . Reed , Ithaca , N . Y . RD2 ; Edward C . Weiser , Etna , N . Y . and Freeman Carpenter , Freeville , N . Y . be appointed CONSTABLES for the Town of Dryden for the year 1952 . Carried and so ordered . Moved by Justice Spaulding and seconded by Justice Johnson that Theft Insurance be carried for a period of 3 months on the Town CA Clerk acting as Collector of Taxes . Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices voting Yes , - Moved by Justice Whitford and seconded by Justice Johnson that. $ 1200 . be transferred from Item 4 to Item 3 Highway Funds . Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices voting Yes . Moved by Justice Shaw and seconded by Justice Whitford that $ 400 . surplus be transfered to Contingent Fund . Carried . M . for the Annual audit for the year 1951 . Present were Justices Harry Spaulding , Alvord Baker , Ara Johnson , Dewey Whitford and Francis Shaw . Justice Spaulding nominated. Justice Johnson x as Chairman of the Audit Board . Seconded by Justice Baker . Carried . All books of the Supervisor , Charles G . Downey , and the . Highway Supt . Stacy Beach were audited . All Justice dockets were inspected and checked . Moved by Justice Baker and seconded by Justice Shaw that the books be accepted as audited . Carried . Present were Supervisor Charles G . Downey , Highway Supt . Stacy Beach , and Justices Harry Spaulding , Alvord Baker , Ara Johnson , Dewey . Whitford and Francis Shaw . Supervisor Downey presided . Minutes of the December 28th meeting read and approved . Moved by Justice Spaulding and seconded by Justice Shaw that all general bills be paid. as read . Approved by a roll call vote . All Justices voting, Yes . Moved by Justice Whitford and seconded by Justice Johnson , that • all the bills for the Highway be paid as read . Approved by a roll call vote . All Justices voting Yes . A Moved by Justice Johnson and seconded by Justice Spaulding that the following town officials bonds be accepted and placed on file : Supervisor Downey , Mildred Schutt , Stacy Breach , Dewey Whitford , Alvord - Baker , Ira Reed , Freeman Carpenter , Edward Weiser , Harry Spaulding ; Ara Johnson and Francis Shaw . Moved by Justice Johnson and seconded by Justice Whitford that the regular monthly meetings of the Town Board for the year 1952 will be held on the 3rd of each month or as near the 3rd as possible as • agreed upon by the Board . Meetings to be called at 7 : 30 P . M . Motion carried . • Moved by Justice Whitford and seconded by Justice _ Shaw that . Harold Clough serve as chairman of the Board of Assessors . Moved by Justice Johnson and seconded by Justice Baker that the assessors and the Town Clerk delivering election supplies be allowed mileage of 0 . 08 per mile . Motion carried . Moved by Justice Baker and seconded by Justice Shaw that the time payment of the officers ' salaries are as follows : Supervisor , Town Clerk and Justices Spaulding and Whitford the first of each month . The balance of the Just _ices , . every three months , the first being on the first of April . The Assessors first payment on the • sixth month and the last on the forst of the tenth month . Carried . by a roll call vote . All Justices voting Yes . Moved by Justice Spaulding and seconded by Justice Whitford that Justice Johnson go as a delegate to the Association of Towns . Justice Shaw to go as alternate . Motion carried . • Moved by Justice Whitford and seconded by ' Justice Spaulding to hold a public hearing for the purchase of a truck not to exceed $5712 . Motion was carried by a roll call or Justices . All Justices voting Yes . • Moved by Justice 3paulaing and seconded by Justice Whitrord that monthly meeting is to be held February 4th .
