JULY 2 ; - 1951
The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board of the
Town of Dryden was held on Julyt2 , 1951 at 7 : 30 P . M .
Preseht were Supervisor Charles Downey , Hwy . Supt . Stacy'
Beach and Justices Alvord Baker , Ara Johnson , Dewey Whitford and
Francis Shaw . Supervisor Downey presiding .
The minutes of the June 4th . meeting read for information .
Mr Harold Clough , Ithaca , N . Y . RD # 2 , Chairman of the
Board of Assessors , was present to discuss with the Board the
Assessed valuation of Billboards and Trailers . '
Mr Floyd Morter and Mr Douglas Hewitt , Freeville , N . Y . RD2
liltwere present to discuss with the Members of the Board the condition
of the MtLeah= Peruville , the Freeville - McLean and the Red Mill roads
and to present to the Board a petition from the residents of that
area . These roads will be considered for repair at some later time .
- Moved by Justice Shaw and seconded by Justice Baker that
the General Bills totaling # 428 . 05 plus the Etna and Bethel Grove
Youth project bills totaling # 44 . 88 be ' paid as audited .
Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices voting Yes .
Moved by Justice Whitford and seconded by Justice Johnson
that the Highway bills totaling # 2134 . 72 be paid as audited .
Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices voting ' Yes .
Moved by Justice Whitford and : seconded by Justice Johnson
that the resignation of Rose Ellis , Dryden , N . Y . , as angl Inspector of
Elections in Dist . No . 5 be accepted as requested . Carried .

• that Verna A . Myers , Dryden , N . Y . RD 1 , be appointed as an Inspector
of Elections in Dist . No . 5 to fill the vacancy made by the resignatior.
of Rose Ellis . Carried and so ordered .
MOved by Justice Johnson and seconded. by Justice Shaw
that # 300 . 00 be transferred from unexpended balance to the Insurance
Fund . Carried and so ordered , .
MOved by Justice Shaw and seconded by Justice Johnson
that # 2000 . plus accrued interest be transferred from the Interest
Department to the General Fund . Carried and so ordered .

the Citizens Advisory Committee on Highways
