P resent were Supervisor Charles Downey , Hwy . Supt . - Stacy Beach and Justices Harry Spaulding , Alvord Baker , Ara Johnson , Dewey Whitford and. Francis Shaw . Supervisor Downey presiding . Mr Kenneth Post and Mr Reuben Shapleyof Ithaca , RD#2 ,, Ellis Hollow Road were present to discuss with the Board the ; speeding hazards on Ellis Hollow Road . The following resolution was offered by Justice Shaw and asked its adoption RESOLVED , that . the Town Board of the Town of Dryden hereby requests the State Traffic Commission to restrict the speed at which vehicles may proceed to , 40 miles an hour on or along the following portion] of State Highway No . 110 and No . 164 , located in the , Town of Dryden , County of Tompkins , State of New York , outside of any city or Incorporated Village to wit : That portion of Highway N.O . 110 from the Ithaca Town_ Line easterly to the junction of Highway No . 110 and N o . 164 thence northerly on No . 164 to the Ellis Hollow Cemetery approximate distance 3 . 6 miles . RESOLVED ALSO , that danger signs be erected at HIBBARDS CORNERS and at all other gangerous points where found necessary . . Seconded by Justice Whitford and Carried . Moved by Justice Spaulding and seconded by Justice Shaw that the General bills totaling # 824 . 92 plus the Etna Community bill of 4 6 . 00 be paid as audited . Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices voting Yes . Moved by Justice Johnson and seconded by Justice Baker that . the Highway bills totaling # . 1373 . 99 be paid as audited . Carried by a roll call vote . . All Justices voting Yes . Moved by Justice' Whitford and seconded by Justice Spaulding that the following list of Inspectors of . Elections which was duly filed by the Chairman of the Republican County Committee be duly appointed for a period of One year to serve in the Town of Dryden. Dist . No . 6 Marian Walden - - Ethel Marquis Moved by JusticeSha* and seconded by Justice Johnson . that the Democrat Inspectors of Elections now holding office shall hold over and continue to discharge thietr duties in accordance with Sec . 43 sub . 3 of the Election Law .
