HomeMy WebLinkAbout1951-05-03 79 MAY #. 3 , 1951_ . The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Dryden was held on Ma.y 3 , 1951 at 7 : 30 P . M . . Present were Supervisor Charles Downey , Hwy . Supt . Stacy Beach : and Justices Harry Spaulding , Alvord Baker , Ara Johnson , Dewey Whitford and Francis Shaw . Supervisor Downey -presiding . Minutes of the April 2nd ., meeting were read for information only . Mr Sidney Pritchard of Ellis Hollow appeared in behalf of the Ellis Hollow Cemetery , a meeting of all interested parties is to be called in the near future . Moved by Justice Spaulding and seconded by Justice Shaw that the General bills totaling $ 1240 . 92 plus the Etna Community and Bethel Grove Youth project bills totaling $ 131 . 76 be paid as audited . Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices Yes . Moved byrJustice Whitford and seconded by . Justice Baker that the Highway bills totaling $ 2087 . 53 be paid as audited . Carried by a roll vote . All Judtices voting Yes . . 3 Justice Whitford moved that the following resolution be adopted . . RESOLVED; that the plan prepared at the request of this Board for the improvement of 'Sown Highways and covering all projects contemplated by it , pursuant to Chapter 824 of the Laws of 1950 , as amended , as filed in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Dryden , County of Tompkins , on: this 4th . day of May , 1951 , be and the same is hereby adopted ; and be it further RESOLVED , that copies of such p1ar be filed in_ the appropriate State , C=ounty and Town offices in accordance with the provisions of Sec: 2 , a$ apter 824: of the Laws of 1950 , as amended . Seconded by Justice Johnson . Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices voting Test.. The next regular monthly meeting will be held on- Rule 4th . at 7 : 30 P . M:. Justice Whitford moved that the following resolution be adopted RESOLVED; that the Town Board of the To e of Dryden_ establish Day Light Saving Time as offi_cal Time for Election Purposes in said Too Seconded by Justice Spaulding . Carried and so ordered . Moved by Justice Whitford and seconded by Justice Shaw that all Highway employees be raised Ten ( 10 ) cents per hour with the exception of one which is to be raised Fifteen: ( 15 ) cents per hour . Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices voting, _ YES; . . The minutes . of this meeting were read and approved .
