The regular monthly meeting of the Town
Board of the Town of Dryden was held on Apri1 . 2 , 1951 at 7 : 30 P . a..
Present were Supervisor, Charles Downey , Hwy .
Supt . Stacy Beach and Justices Harry Spaulding , Alvord Baker ,
An Johnson , ' Dewey Whitford and Francis Shaw .

Supervisor Downey presiding .
A Delegation of Five people , representing 12
Homes on the Freese road , North from Varna to the Town Line , were
present to 'discuss with the Board the condition of said road .
Plans had beexn made to repair this road as soon as possible .
• Minutes of the March 5th . meeting were read - •
for information .
Moved by Justice Spaulding and seconded by
Justice Shaw that the General bills totaling 0 137 . 17 plus the
Bethel Grove Youth project bills totaling 0 62 . 25 be paid as
audited . Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices voting Yes .
Moved by Justice Whitford and ,- seconded by
Justice Johnson that the Highway bills totaling # 626 . 20 be paid
as audited . Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices voting Yes .

Justice Johnson nominated Claude Bascom , -
Freeville , N . Y . as an Assessor to fill the vacancy caused by the
resignation of William B . Strong , seconded by Justice Spaulding .
Carried by a roll call vote . All Justice voting Yes .
Moved by Justice Baker and seconded by
Justice Shaw that William B . Strong be paid # 125 . 00 for services
rendered as an Assessor for the First 2 months of the year .
Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices voting Yes . '21,14±011.

Justice Baker that Harold Clough , Ithaca , N . Y . RD2 be appointed
Chairman of the Board of Assessors for the remainder of the year .
Carried and so ordered . •
The minutes of this meeting were read and
approved .
The next regular monthly meeting will be on
May 3rd . unless circumstances necessitate a change .
On motion the meeting was adjourned .
