JULY 5 , 1950
The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board( of the
Town of Dryden was held at the Town Clerks office on July 5 , 1950
at 8 : 00 P . M .
" Present were Supervisor .Charles Downey , Hwy ; Supt .
Stacy Beach-- and Justices Harry Spaulding , Alvord Baker , Ara Johnsoo .
Dewey Whitford and Francis Shat
Supervisor • Downey presiding ;
The minutes of the Jurnec2nd ; meeting were read for
information only.
Measers J . Richard Valley and Emmett Foxcwere present
to discuss with the Members of the Board , FireProtection; in
regards to a new Contract to be drawn by Jarilst; 1951 .
Supervisor Downey appointed Justice Shaw and Justice
Whitford to act on the Fire Committee ;
Moved by Justice Spaulding and seconded by Justice
Shaw that the General bills totaling 1327; 62 plus the Bethel Grove
• Youth: project bill of $: 2; 28 be paid as audited; Carried by a roll
call vote; All Justices voting Yes;
Moved by.- Justice Whitford and seconded by Justice_:
Johnson that the Hdighway bills totaling 4 1914; 08 be paid as audited ;
Carried by a roll call vote ; All Justices voting Yes';
A letter from E . F . Brundage ; Chairman of the Dryden.
Republican Committee , was read in regards to new voting booths in
the Districts whereeneeded; Justice Spaulding moved that this request
be referre& to the Committee; ' Seconded. by Justice Johnson ;
Justice Spaulding reported that Mr Amos Caswell and Mr
Southgate Hoyt , both of Etna , N . Y . , . would like to have gravel
dumped along the creek bank to prevent the creek in flood from.: thytr
gardens and land ; The Town Board could take no action
The minutes of this meeting were read and approved ;
The next regular meeting August 5rd ;
On motion the meeting was adjourned
