SPECIAL MEETING A Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of- Cortlandville was held at the Town Hall, 15-Terrace.Road, Cortland, New York with Supervisor Stanley Nadolski - presiding. Members Present: Supervisor, Stanley Nadolski Councilman Melvin Pierce Councilman Ray Thorpe Town Clerk Pauline Parker Absent: Councilman Edwin O'Donnell Councilman Warren Manning Others present were Assessor, David Briggs; Engineer, Haynes Smith; Highway sup't., Carl Bush and Newsreporter, Paul LaDolce. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Stanley Nadolski at'4:00 p.m. RESOLUTION #138 AUTHORIZE HIRING WILLIAM MORSE - emggloye HIGHWAY DEPT . Wm. Morse Motion by Councilman Thorpe Seconded by Councilman Pierce VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED BE IT RESOLVED that the Highway Sup't. is hereby authorized to hire William Morse, as a full time employee of. the Highway Dept. at $5.81 per hour, as a machine equipment operator. RESOLUTION # 139 AUTHORIZE HIRING BARBARA J. FALSO - AS DEPUTY TOWN CLERK Motion by Councilman Pierce Seconded by Councilman Thorpe D. TnClerk VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED employee B. Falso BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized to hire Barbara J. Falso, 3505 Kellogg Rd, Cortland, NY as Deputy Town Clerk, effective July 15, 1985 at an annual salary of $9,537.09, to be paid from A1.410.1. Councilman Pierce has set a tentative date of August Library 7, 1985 for the Town Board to tour the Cortland Free Tour Library. He will contact them of the time or if a change should occur. RESOLUTION # 140 AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF VOUCHERS Motion by Councilman Pierce Seconded by Councilman Thorpe VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED C 1 U 1 91 1 • • 1 Monday, July 15, 1985 Page 2 BE IT RESOLVED that the ---ouchers submitted have been audited and shall be paid as follows: General Fund Vouchers #306 - $3,4.02.54- Highway #156 - 159 $2,729.01 Water Fund # 98 25.45 Sewer Fund # 38 5,112.00 A discussion was held concerning a report received from the county relating to the incidents of youth problems for the period of 1981 - 1983. RESOLUTION # 14.1 AUTHORIZE ASSESSOR TO SIGN CONTRACT WITH NYS - COMPUTER - FOR ASSESSMENT UPDATE Motion by Councilman Thorpe Seconded by Councilman Pierce VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED audit of vouchers BE IT RESOLVED that Assessor, David Briggs, is hereby assessment authorized to sign a contract with the NYS Division of update Equalization and Assessment to utilize their computer service to accomplish an update of the assessment program for the Town. Councilman Pierce made a motion, seconded by Council- man Thorpe, to adjourn the special meeting. All voting aye, the motion was carried.
