MARCH 3 , 1950
The Regular monthly meeting of the Town Board of the
Town of Dryden was held on March 3 , 1950 at 1 : 00 P . M .
Present were Supervisor Downey and Justices Spaulding ,
Baker , Johnson , Whitford and Shaw .
Supervisor Downey presiding .
Minutes of the February 3rd , meeting were read for
information ;
Messrs , L . E . Ticknor , Alvin Balcom and Walter Kahabka
. of the National Grange Mutual Liability Company were present to report .
to the Board the result of the survey made by the Company and presenter
their recommendations of the Towns Insurance need& After a discussion
this _ information was turned over to the Insurance Committee for futher vi
study ;
The motion was made by Justice Shaw and seconded by
Justice Johnson that the General bills Totaling 4i 452; 97 plus the
Etna Youth project bill of $ 31 . 75 and the Bethel Grove project bill
of $ 5 ; 94 be paid as audited ; Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices.
Voting Yes . l
The motion made by Justice Whitford and seconded by
Justice Johnson that the Highway bill totaling $ 1754 ; 29 be paid as Qe
audited ; Carried by a roll call vote ; All Justices voting Yes .
The motion was made by Justice Baker that the Supervisor
and the Highway Supt . consult with L . D . Tripp concerning Diesel fuel
storage and pump and report to the Board at the April meeting . Carried;
The motion was made by Justice Shaw and seconded by
Justice Whitford that the Building Committee be instructed to proceeds
with the footing and structure for the Town Office building an fiat ]
State specifications be checked ; Carried by a roll call vote ; All
Justices voting Yes ;
The motion was made by Justice Baker and sedonded by e'
Justice Whitford that the Supervisor check the price of Adding machines
and that he be impowered to purchase a machine if advisable . Carried
by a roll call vote . All Justice voting , Yes .
The motion was made by Justice Shaw and seconded by
Justice Johnson that the Highway Committee be impowered to authorize
the Hwy ; Supt ; to purchase repair parts not in excess of 4 500 , and re -
port to the Board at the meetings ; Carried and so ordered ;
The minutes of this meeting were read and approved .
Moved by Justice Johnson and seconded by Justice Shaw
that the meeting be adjourned ;

A SPECIAL MEETING of the Town Board of the Town
of Dryden was held • on March 24 , 1950 at 2 : 00 P . M .
Present were Supervisor Downey and Justices
Spaulding , Baker , Johnson , Whitford and Shaw .
Mrs George Bailey of Bailey Insurance and Messrs ,
Ticknor , Balcom and Kahabka of the National Grange In. s , Co
were present to discuss Insurance with the Members of the Board .
The motion was made by Justice Shaw and seconded
by Justice Whitford that the Town of Dryden carry General
Liability Insurance . Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices
Voting Yes .
The motion was made by Justice Whitford and seconded
by Justice Spaulding that the Insurance Committee continue to study
the Insurance needs of the Town and present their recommendations
at the meeting on April 3rd ; 1950 , Carried and so ordered . .
