L Present were Supervisor Downey , Hwy . Supt . Stacy Beach: and Justices Spaulding , Cornelius , Baker , Johnson and Whitford . Francis Shaw , newly elected Justice was also present . . Supervisor Downey presiding . Minutes of the November 3rd . and 9th . meetings were read for information . Mr Edward DiGiacomo of West Dryden-, Freeville , N . Y . F# 1 was present to discuss with the Members of the Board the purchase of a furnace for the West Dryden Church; Moved by Justice Johnson and seconded by Justice • Spaulding that a used 34 " Holland furnace be purchased from Wheaton' s Sheet Metal Shop of Ithaca at a price of 4292 . 00 . Carried by a roll call vote . " A11 Justices voting Yes . Moved by Justice Spaulding and seconded by Justice Whitford that U. E . Ticknor , Agent of Cortland be informed that the Town Board of the Town of Dryden grants permission: for an Insurance survey of the Towns present Insurance needs to the Agents of the National Grange Mutual Liability and Fire Company . The Town to be under no obligations ; Carried and so ordered . Moved by Justice Johnson and seconded by Justice Baker that the Highway Round House be insured with theLDryden-Groton: Co - op . . Fire Insurance Company for the amount of $ 3500 . Carried and so ordered . Moved by Justice Spaulding and . secbnded by Justice Cornelius that the General bills totaling 4 118 . 34 plus the Bethel Grove Youth Project bills totaling 4505 . 67 be paid as audited . Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices voting Yes . Moved by Justice Johnson and seconded by Justice Whitford that the Highway bills totaling 4 1218 . 96 be paid as audited plus a Dryden Supply Co . bill of 428 . 3.6 when verified . Carried by a roll Call vote . A11 Justice voting Yes . Moved by Justice Spaulding and seconded by Justice Baker that the First National Bank of: Dryden be designated as a depository for the Town monies for the year 1950 ; . Carried and so ordered . Moved by Justice Johnson and seconded by Justice '4 Whitford that Dec . 31st . be designated as Annual Audit Day . Carried and so ordered . Moved by Justice Johnson and seconded by Justice Spaulding that all bills and checks should be issued by Dec . 16th. Carried and so ordered ; Moved by Justice Johnson and seconded by Justice Spaulding that Ira= Reed , Ithaca 12 , Edward Welser , Etna ; and Freeman Carpenter of Freeville be re -appointed Constables of the Town of Dryden , For the year 1950 . , Carried and so ordered . Movedbby Justice Cornnius and seconded by Justice Baker that the Town Clerks Bond be increased from 41000 . to an amount satisfactory to the Auditors of the State but not less than $ 10 , 000 . min . to cover the offices of Town Clerk amiiimatimeimm . Carried and so ordered . Supervisor Downey appointed Justice Spaulding a Comm . of One to contact Mr Munsey or Mr Armitage of Turkey Hill Roadabout the delinquent bills for the Tile and pipe used on the Fire Pond on Mr Munseys property . y The minutes of this meeting were read and approved . M . for the Annual Audit of the year 19490 Present were Justices Harry Spaulding , Alvord Baker , Orrie Cornelius , Ara John and Dewey Whitford ; Justice Spaulding nominated Justice Baker as Chairman of the Audit Board , seconded by Justice Johnson: All Books of the Town Supervisor , Charles Downey and the Highway Sup ' t . Stacy Beach were checked; All Justice dockets were inspected and checked' ; Moved by Justice Johnson and seconded by Justice Cornelius that the books be accepted as audited .
