SEPTEMBER 2 , 1949 .
The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board of the Town
of Dryden was held at the Town Clerks office on September 2 , 1949 at
8 : 00 P . M .
, Present were Supervisor Charles Downey , Hwy ; Supt . Stacy
Beach and Justices Harry Spaulding , Orrie Cornelius , Alvord Baker ,
Ara Johnson and Dewey Whitford .
Supervisor Downey Presiding .
Minutes of the . August 3rd . ' meeting were read for information'.
Mr and Mrs Howard Munsey , and Mr and Mrs Alfred Armitage of
Turkey Hill Road wre present to discuss with the Members of the
Board the excavating of water holes for the fire protection of
approximately 13 homes in that area .
Moved - by Justice Whitford and seconded by Justice
Cornelius that Supervisor Downey and the Hwy Supt . Stacy Beach be
appointed as a committee to investigate this situation:;
Carried and so ordered ;
Moved by Justice Spaulding and seconded by Justice
Cornelius that the General bills totaling $ 172 ; 80 plus the Bethel
Grove Youthe project bills totaling $ 197 ; 91 be paid as . audited ;
Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices voting Yes ;
Moved by Justice Whitford and seconded by Justice
Johnson that the Highway bills totaling $ 608 ; 39 be paid as audited
and 3 bills totaling 4 2157 . 66 be paid when verified;
Carried by a roll call vote All Justices voting . Yes.
Moved by Justice Spaulding and seconded by Justice
Whitford that the Hwy . Supt . Stacy Beach be permitted to attend
the State Town Supbrintendents ConventionTat . Rochester , N . Y . on
Sept; 15th . and 16th; . Carried and so ordered ;
The next regular monthly meeting will be held on

October 3 , 1949 at 90 P . M . 7 : k-o PM .
