Home My WebLink About04-16-1985Tuesday, April 16, 1985 4:55 P•M- EMERGENCY MEETING An emergency meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Cortlandville was held at the Town Hall, 15 Terrace Road, Cortland, New York with Supervisor Stanley Nadolski presiding. Members present: Supervisor Stanley Nadolski Councilman Ray Thorpe Councilman Edwin O'Donnell Councilman Melvin Pierce Deputy Town Clerk June Bradshaw Absent: Councilman Warren Manning Town Clerk Pauline Parker Supervisor Nadolski called the meeting to order at 4:55 P.M.. RESOLUTION # 84 ACCEPT RETIREMENT LETTER FROM DONALD EATON Motion by Councilman Thorpe Seconded by Councilman Pierce VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED Don Eaton BE IT RESOLVED that the retirement letter from Donald F. Retirement Eaton, Town Justice, is hereby received and accepted with regret, to be effective June 2, 1985. RESOLUTION # 8; APPOINT MARY D. FOWLER TO TOWN JUSTICE Motion by Councilman Thorpe Seconded by Councilman Pierce VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED appoint WHEREAS a vacancy has occurred due to the retirement of Mary Fowler Jutice Donald F. Eaton, therefore Justice BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Board does hereby appoint Mary D. Fowler, 8 Harrison Street, Cortland, New York, as Town Justice of the Town of Cortlandville, _tb.fill the unexpired term of Justice Donald Eaton, and RESOLVED that the starting salary will be $ 15,900, with starting date of April 19, 1985. RESOLUTION # 86 AUTHORIZE MARY D. FOWLER TO ATTEND SCHOOL Motion by Councilman Thorpe Seconded by Councilman Pierce VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED 1 • 1 0 1 Tuesday, April 16, 1985 Page 2 BE IT RESOLVED that Mary D. Fowler is hereby authorized to attend school for her justice's certification from April 19 and 20, 1985, and RESOLVED that any expenses incurred by same, be reimbursed, subject to audit by the Town Board. Councilman Thorpe made a motion, seconded by Council- man O'Donnell to adjourn the emergency meeting. All voting aye, the motion was carried.
