HomeMy WebLinkAbout1948-11-04 21 NOVEMBER 4 , , 1948 The regular monthly meeting of the Town ` Board of the Town of Dryden was held at the Town Clerks office on Nov . 4 , 1948 at 8 : 00 P . M . Present were Supervisor,- Charles Downey , Hwy ; Supt ; Stacy Beach and Justices Harry Spaulding , Orrie Cornelius , AracJohnson and Dewey Whitford ; • The minutes of - the October 4th , meeting were read for information and the minutes of the October 20th; and 27th; special meetings were read and approved: Messrs ; Lee Hoy and Emmett Wagner , Dryden , N . Y . were present to discuss with the Board the condition of the H Back Road" from the Rexford road to the ' Irish Settlement road ; Justice.. Spaulding moved that - the Hwy ; Supt' ; . fix this road as much as possible this fall to make it fit for travel - _ and that this road be considered on the program for the coining year ; Seconded by Justice Whitford : Carried and so ordered • A petition„ which was signed by several residents of the area , was read in regards . to the improvement •of the Stone Quarry road ; This petition was accepted and will be included on the Fall road tour ; Justice Spaulding offered the following resolution and asked its adoption; RESOLVED , -that the Town Board of the Town of Dryden does hereby sponser a Youth Recreational Project as approved by the New York State Youth Commission as requested by the Bethel Grove Community Home , Inc'; Seconded by Justice Cornelius : Carried by a roll call vote ; All Justices voting; Yes ; Moved by Justice Whitford and seconded by Justice Johnson: that ? 5000; 00 be transfered from the - General Fund to Item 111 of Highway;- Carried by a roll call vote ; All Justices voting Yes : Moved b y Justice Cornelius and . seconde� d� is�t� lgr J sti ce . Moved by Justice Whitford and seconded by Justice Johnson that the Highway bills totaling $ 947 ; 23 be paid as audited , ; except the Railway Express bills be held for verification : Carried by a roll call. vote : All Justices voting; Yes` ; • Moved by Justice Spaulding and seconded by Justice Corneliu that the General bills totaling $ 1206 ; 25 be paid as audited ; Carried by a roll call vote ; All .
