The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board of the Townrof
Drydemwas held at the Town Clerks office on July 6 , 1948 at 8i00 pat
Present were Supervisor Charles G . Downey , Wry . Supt . Stacy -
Beach and Justices Harry Spaulding . Orrie Cornelius , Alvord Baker

Mr Kenneth Marquis of Freeville , N . Y . R01 wasT . present to ask:
the Hwy ; Supt : and the Board when work . was to be started on . thee
Hill Road that passes his fa a . This road listed for permanent
improvement on the 1948 agreement : .
A - pet &:tiom containing forty - four ( 44 ) names from . . the Washington.
District was presented to the Board by . Justice Baker , asking for
repairs to be made on the roads in that . District ; The Hwy ; . Supt . •
told the Board that as much work as possible will be done on these
roads` :

A motion was made by Justice Spaulding and seconded by Justice
Cornelius that the General bills totaling : 03 be paid as
audited . Carried by a roll call vote . All Jus tices voting Yes .
A motion was made by ' Justice Johnson and seconded by Justice .
Whitford that the Highway bills totaling $ 2630 : 40 be paid . as
audited . Carried by a roll call vote . Al1 . Justices voting Yes ;
A letter that was sent by Charles H . Newman , Attorney of
Ithaca , N . Y . to J . Ross Paltz , Attorney of Syracuse , N . Y . in
regards to the transfer of the deed of the West Dryden Church. was
read. -
A motion was made by Justice Johnson and seconded by Justice
Cornelius that the 1937 International pick-up truck be sold Ur, .
Teeter Chevrolet Co ; of Dryden , N . Y . for the sum of $ 75 . 00 ;
Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices voting Yes' ; .
The next regular meeting of the Town Board will be held on:
August 4 , 1948 at 8 : 00 P . M .
• A motion was made by Justice Whitford and seconded. by Justice
Johnson that the discussion on buying a Roller for the Highway
Dept . be tabled until the next meeting ; Carried and so ordered?:
Onnmotion by Justice Cornelius and seconded by Justice
Johnson this meeting was adjourned .
