M . on June 2 , 1948 the Notice of the Public Hearing as published to ' hear all persons for or against the purchase of a e ton truck for the highway costing in. excess of 500 . 00 was read and the hearing opened . - The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board of the- Town of Dryden was called to . order subject to recess should any person wish to be heard on the public hearing . • Present were4Supervisor Charles G . Downey and Justices Harry Spaulding , Orrie Cornelius , Alvord Baker , Ara: Johnson: and Dewey Whitford , , Mr Myron Cornelius was present to discuss with tthe Board the conditions at the Snyder Hill Cemetery . Mr and Mrs Sidney Warner of Snyder Hill Road and Mrs William Perry of Stone Quarry Road were present to discuss with the Board then conditions of the said roads . and asked ' if it were {_ possible to have them repaired . It was suggested that these roads be considered in 1949 program . The Public hearing offically closed at 9 : 00 P . M . and the following resolutionwas offered by Justice Whitford and seconded by - Justice Johnson . . . The Town Superintendent of Highways is hereby authorized to purchase under Section 142 of. the Highway Law from Teeter Chevrolet Company of Dryden , ITT.. Y . with the approval of the County Superintendent of Highways a z ton pick - up truck for a total.. price o'f 4 1124 . 75 to be paid by Cash with out issuing certificates , Vote of the Town . Board . All Justices voting Yes . • At 9 : 05 P . M . the Notice of Public Hearing as published to highway # 163`��a��ath e heari against the closing of the hearing opened , - Mr Arthur Prince , Raymond Nobles and Foster English of Snyder Hill Road were present to discuss with the Board the condition of Snyder Hill Road and asked for repairs . Moved by Jusice Spaulding and seconded by Justice Cornelius that the General bills totaling 4 601 . 96 be paid as audited . Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices votting Yes . The Public hearing offically closed and the follow - ing resolution offered by Justice Baker and seconded by Justice Spaulding that . Having received approval from the United States Post Office Service , the State Department of Public Works and the /property owners bordering said road , be it hereby understood that Town Highway , # 163 between the McLean- Dryden road and Route ; 13i shall 4 :± q : be offically closed , there being no person present to object to said _, closing and the Town Superintendent of Highways _ be instructed to i erect proper signs and Mr Newton be allowed to put up a fence and gate across the former right of way . Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices voting Yes . Moved by Justice Johnson and seconded. by Justice Whitford that the Highway bills totaling $ 1122 . 53 be paid as audited . Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices voting Yes . Moved • by Justice Cornelius and sec ! d by Justice Baker that the following amended list of Inspectors of Elections be appointed for a period of one year beginning July 1 , 1948 .
