SPEGIAL MEETING A special meeting of the Town of Cortlandville Town Board was held at the Town Hall, 15 Terrace Road, Cortland, N.Y. with Supervisor Nadolski presiding. Members present: Supervisor Stanley Nadolski ® Councilman Melvin Pierce Councilman Edwin O'Donnell Absent: Councilman Ray Thorpe Councilman Warren Manning Town Clerk Pauline Parker Others present were Deputy Town Clerk, June Bradshaw; Attorney Phillip Rumsey; Newsreporter Michael Mittelstadt; Philip Shager, chairman of Cortland Economic Development Committee; Richard Teichman and resident Ken Andrews. Supervisor Nadolski called the meeting to order at 4:30 P.M.. Philip Shager and Richard Teichman apprised the Town Board of the success of the Economic Development Program. They told of some of the accomplishments within the last year. Dick Teichman stated that the Town has been very cooperative 1n.Then he needs help. After a discussion, it was the consensus of the Town Board to renew the program for 1985. RESOLUTION # 188 APPROVE RENEWING FUNDING REQUEST FROM ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE Motion by Councilman O'Donnell Seconded by Councilman Pierce VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED ® approve 1985 WHEREAS the Cortland Chamber of Commerce has prepared 6oun ygEDC their budget for 1985 and are submitting the same allocation from each municipality request, and WHEREAS a request has been received from the Cortland Chamber of Commerce for $ 15,384.00 annually, a two year commitment, our Town share of the Economic Development Program, therefore BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Cortland- ville does hereby honor the request of the Economic Develop- ment Committee to further economic development within the County, and 2Z76 Monday, October 15, 1984 Page ,2 RESOLVED that the request is in the amount of $ 15,384.00. RESOLUTION # 189 AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF VOUCHERS Motion by Councilman Pierce Seconded by Councilman O'Donnell VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED BE IT RESOLVED that the vouchers submitted have been • audited and shall be paid as follows: payment of General Fund. Vouchers # 415 - 420 $ 7 , 745.19 vouchers Highway V1# 165 - 168 1,518.75 Water Fund it# 149 - 150 57.74 Sewer Fund if# 70 - 71 232.96 /IeSC �rv��Q fi)®i,7 9, 1501 See- Ke5 "PoZ0 RESOLUTION # 190 AUTHORIZE SUPERVISOR TO SIGN ALL DOCUMENTS FOR EDA GRANTS Motion by Councilman Pierce Seconded by Councilman O'Donnell VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED sign EDA BE IT RESOLVED that the Supervisor is hereby authorized Grant and directed to sign all the documents regarding the U.S. Department of Commerce Grant (EDA), and BE I:T FURTHER RESOLVED that the Supervisor and Deputy Supervisor are hereby authorized and directed to sign signature cards for payment of vouchers or letter of credit. A discussion was held regarding carrying over more carry over than 5 vacation days to the next calendar year. Supervisor vacation Nadolski suggested that 30 days be carried over. It was days the consensus of the the Town Board to table the discussion for further review. Councilman Pierce made a motion, seconded by Council- man O'Donnell to table the discussion for further review. All voting aye, the motion was carried. RESOLUTION # 191 AUTHORIZE TRANSFER OF FUNDS • Motion by Councilman Pierce Seconded by Councilman O'Donnell VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED BE IT RESOLVED that the Supervisor is hereby authorized transfer and directed to transfer $ 2,995.00 from A1990. :contingent of funds fund to A1670.2 Central Printing and Mailing, to cover the cost of the Toshiba BD-5511 copier. Monday, October 15, 1984 Page 3 RESOLUTION # 192 REIMBURSE ROBERT SALT JULE (O'SHEA TIRE) 50 % OF 4TH SEWER BILL Motion by Councilman Pierce Seconded by Councilman O'Donnell VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED WHEREAS Mr. Robert San Jule had a water main break at refund • his business, O'Shea Tire on Tompkins Street, and sewer charge WHEREAS all the water did not go thru the sewer system, therefore BE IT RESOLVED that the Supervisor is hereby authorized and directed to reimburse Robert San Jule 50 % of the 4th qt. sewer bill. - Councilman Pierce made a motion, seconded by Councilman O'Donnell to adjourn the special meeting.
