PUBLIC -HEARING LOCAL LAW # 2'FOR 1984 SEWER ORDINANCE A Public Hearing was held at the Town Hall, Town of Cortlandville at 4:00 P.M..concerning proposed Local Law # 2 for 1984, providing for a Wastewater Discharge Law,--. • and further providing for the repeal of the Town of Cortlandville Sewer District Ordinance enacted July 13, 1960 and all the amendments, thereto, as of the effective date of the new law. Members present: Supervisor Stanley Nadolski Councilman Edwin O'Donnell Councilman Ray Thorpe Councilman Melvin Pierce. Town Clerk Pauline Parker Absent: Councilman Warren Manning Others present were Deputy Town Clerk June Bradshaw and Newsreporter Michael Mittelstadt from Cortland Stand- ard. The Public Hearing was opened by Supervisor Nadolski at 4:00 P.M. The Town Clerk read the legal notice as follows: LEGAL NOTICE TOWN OF CORTLANDVILLE LOCAL LAW NO.2 FOR 1"A Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held before the Super- visor and Town Board of the Town of Cortlandville, Cort- land County, New York at the Town Hall, 15 Terrace -Road, Town of Cortland, ville, New York on August 20, 1984 at 4:00 o'clock p.m. concerning proposed Local' Law No. 2 for the Year 1984, providing for a Wastewater D ischarge 'L aW ,and -further providing;.for the. repeal of the Town,of Cbrtlandville Sewer District Ordinance -,- enacted July 13, 1960 and all, -the amendments thereto, as of the effective date of the: new Iaw. - PAULINE PARKER, Clerk Town of Cortlandville 15 Terrace Road Cortland, New York DATED: August 14, 1984 192.1t' is Ll 249 Monday, August 20, 1984 1 Page 2 Supervisor Nadolski explained that the EPA (Environ- mental Protection Agency) insists that the Towns that are using the Cortland Sewage DisposdJ Plant adopt the same code that the City of Cortland has in regards to the wastewater treatment plant. Supervisor Nadolski also stated that by adopting this law, the town will effectively repeal its own sewer ordinance, however there are parts of our ordinance that we wish to incorporate into the law. • There being no further discussion, Councilman O'Donnell made a motion, seconded by Councilman Thorpe to close the public hearing. All voting aye, the motion was carried. The hearing was closed at 4:05 P.M- -I • 1 Monday, August 20, 1984 4:05 P.M. A Special Meeting of the Town of Cortlandville Town Board was held on August 20, 1984 at the Town Hall, 15 Terrace Road, Cortland, New York with Supervisor Nadolski presiding. Members present: Supervisor Stanley Nadolski Councilman Edwin O'Donnell Councilman Ray Thorpe Councilman Melvin Pierce • Town Clerk Pauline Parker Absent: Councilman Warren Manning Others present were Deputy Town Clerk, June Bradshaw and Newsreporter Michael Mittelstadt from Cortland Standard. Supervisor Nadolski called the meeting to order at 4-:05 P.M. RESOLUTION # 157 AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF VOUCHERS Motion by Councilman O'Donnell Seconded by Councilman Thorpe VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED BE IT RESOLVED that the vouchers submitted have been audited and shall be paid as follows: General Fund Vouchers # 321-332 $ 28,256.42 Highway " # 133-135 808.01 Water Fund # 122-125 289.77 Sewer Fund # 54 7.90 Councilman O'Donnell made a motion, seconded by Councilman Pierce to adjourn the special meeting.
