The Town Board of the Town of Dryden met at the Town Clerks
office on Nov , 6 , 1947 at 7 : 30 P . M . for the Annual Audit . Present
were Supervisor Charles G . Downey , and Justices Harry Spaulding ,
Orrie Cornelius , Alvord Baker and Millard Hoagland .
Justice Cornelius nominated Justice Hoagland to act as Chairman;
seconded by Justice Baker .
The following claims were presented :

A motion was made by Justice Cornelius and seconded by Justice
Spaulding that the foregoing bills be paid as audited , Carried by
a Roll Call vote . All Justices voting Yes .
Moved by Justice Baker and seconded by Justice Spaulding that
this meeting be adjourned
,
The Notice of the Public Hearing on the Preliminary Budget as
published was read at 8 : 00 P . M . opening the Hearing meeting;
Each item of the Preliminary budget was _ read and rev& ewed . At 9 : 00
P.M. No taxpayers being present it was moved by Justice Baker and . :
seconded by Justice Cornelius that the Public Hearing meeting be
adjourned and the Board go into an Executive session to adjust and
adopt the Annual Budget ; .
Moved by Justice Baker and seconded by Justice Spaulding that
i_ the following Resolution be adopted :
WHEREAS , this Town Board has met at the time and place specified_ , -
in the notice of public hearing on the Preliminary budget and heard
all persons desiring to be heard thereon ; now , therefore be it
RESOLVED that the preliminary budget be amended by making the
following changes therein:. .
That the appropriation for ITEM 11 in the estimate of
expenditures for highways be reduced from $ 1000 ; 00 to $ 500; 00
That the appropriation for ITEM 111 in the estimate of
expenditures for highways be reduced from $ 12 , 000 ; 00 to $ 10 , 500 ; 00
That the appropriation for ITEM 1V in the estimate of
expenditures for highway be _ reduced from $ 13 , 350 , 00 to $ 11 , 750
and be it .
FUTHER RESOLVED , that such preliminary budget as hereinbefore
