PUBLIC HEARING
FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING
A Public Hearing was held at the Town of Cortlandville
Town Hall at 7:30 P.M.
Members present: Supervisor Stanley Nadolski
Councilman Warren Manning
Councilman Melvin Pierce
Councilman Raymond Thorpe
Town Clerk Pauline Parker
Absent: Councilman Edwin O'Donnell
Others present were Assessor, David'Bri.ggs; Zoning
Officer, Don Fowler; Justice, Donald Eation; Confidential
Sec'y., Edna Puzo; Legislator Richard Tupper; Highway
Employees Wilbur Hayes and Dudley Henry.
The Public Hearing was opened by Supervisor Nadolski.

Please take notice, that a
Public Hearing will be held
before the Supervisor of the
Town of Cortlandville dur-
ing a regular meeting of the
Town Board of the Town of
Cortlandville at the Town
Hall, 15 Terrace Road,
Town of Cortlandville, New
York, on November 10,.1983
at 7:30 o'clock p.m. to con-
sider the proposed use of
.Federal. Revenue Sharing
funds to be received by the.
Town of Cortlandville dur-
ing the next fiscal year com-
mencing January 1, 1984.
The amount of Federal
Revenue Sharing funds the
Town of Cortlandville an-
ticipates receiving during
said fiscal year is approxi-
mately $42,000.00.
The proposed use of said
Federal Revenue Sharing .
funds is for highway repair
and recreation.
Residents of the Town of
Cortlandville have the right
to present at said Public
Hearing their written and
Aral comments on the pro-
posed use of Federal
Revenue Sharing funds.
The amount of
unobligated entitlement
funds in the Federal
Revenue Sharing Trust
Fund of the Town of Cort-
landville is$NONE.

Supervisor Nadolski-apprised the Town Board that, as
suggested at the first public hearing, $ 2,000.00 of the
funds received for 1984 will be used for recreation for
new basketball courts for Gortlandville Citizens Park,
with the balance of $ 40,000.00 applied to highway road
repair.
® Councilman Pierce made a motion, seconded by Council-
man Thorpe to close the hearing. All voting;,aye, the
motion -was carried.
The hearing was closed at 7:35 P.M..

PRELIMINARY BUDGET FOR 1984
A Public Hearing was held at the Town of Cortlandville
Town Hall at 7:45 P.M.

Officer, Don Fowler; Justice Donald Eaton; Confidential
Sec'y., Edna Puzo; Legislator Richard Tupper; Highway
Employees, Wilbur Hayes and Dudley Henry.
The Public Hearing was opened by Supervisor Nadolski.

that the preliminary budget
of the Town of Cortland-
ville, Cortland County, New
York, including use of
$42,000.00 of Federal
Revenue Sharing Funds for
the fiscal year beginning
January 1, 1984 has been
completed and filed in the
Office of the Town Clerk of
the Town located at 15 Ter-
race Road in said Town,
where it is available for in-
spection by any interested
Person during office hours;
and
Notice is hereby. given
that the Town Board of the
Town of Cortlandville will
'meet and review said
Preliminary budget and
hold a Public Hearing
thereon at the Town Hall, 15
Terrace Road in the Town
of Cortlandville, New York,

Supervisor Nadolski apprised the Town Board that the
assessor advised there would be no tax increase this year,
however the taxes are calculated at the county level. The
amount of $ 60,000.00 from.the highway road repair budget
will be returned, which will offset the 4 % salary increase
of town employees. The budget will remain the,same as
last year, with a few cuts.
Legislator Richard Tupper reported that the County
Legislature j,_Lst approved the equt,'ization rates and full
value rates.
Supervisor Nadolski explained the special assessment
under the Water District as per question of Legislator
Richard Tupper.
Legislator, Richard Tupper, stated that the Town
Board should be complimented on the budget, with no increase
in the tax rate.
Supervisor Nadolski also-_ commended the department
heads for a fine job done in keeping the budget cost down.
Supervisor Nadolski also complimented the highway
department for a fine job done on Lime Hollow and other
roads.
Councilman Thorpe made a motion, seconded by Council-
man Pierce to close the hearing. All voting aye, the
motion was carried.
The hearing was closed at 7:55 P.M..
