The minutes of the Jan . 3rd . meeting were read for information . Metter from the Automatic Voting Machine Co . . regarding the proper storage conditions for the Town Voting Machines was read . Supervisor. • Downey reported that the suggestions in the letter had been put into effect . A motion was made by Justice Baker and seconded by Justice Spaulding that a Resol ,4i on . be adopted that the milage compensation. for the • Assessor ' szbe set ag six ( 6 ) cents a mile . Carried . • Supervisor Downey gave - a report on the investigation of the Price and Farrel cases . Justice Spaulding gave a report on the Goyette case . He suggested that as long as Deputy Sheriff Horning had not been able to serve . the papers that a bill should be tenders the. Town for his time and the: papers be given another Officer to serve . Supervisor Downey explained that the report from the State on State Aid was not complete . The Welfare Statement totaling 98 . 44 was read:. A motion was made by Justice . Spaulding and seconded by Justice Hoagland that the Report be accepted as read . Carried by a • Roll Call Vote, All Justices - - -YES:: The General Statement totaling 4760 . 30 was read . . A motion was made 1 by Justice Hoagland and seconded by Justice Johnson that this report . be accepted as read . Carried by Roll Call . Supervisor Downey asked the Justicesif they wished to have the Super : ✓ isor ' s Report to the Justices continued. The Reports are to continue . A letter from the Department of Social Welfare , Syracuse , N . Y . was read ✓ egarding the Olmstead Property and the Laws governing the Sale of any _ part ' of the Property . A motion was made by Justice Baker and s seconded by Justice Spaulding that the Town follow the recommendation , of the State and instructed the Supervisor to engage an Appraiserto appraise the Olmstead Property . Supervisor Downey appointed Justice - H oagland to sere with him on this committee : Supervisor Downey appointed Justices Bakerrand Johnson. to handle the . business of the West Dryden Church Purchase . J ustice Spaulding and Cornelius as a Committee to consult with Geo . Bally as to the advisability of blanket4Insurance rather than the type of Insurance now carried . Supervisor Downey reported that the Deputy Sheriff Question was not . .
