TOWN BOARD MEETING
S pecial Meeting 5 : 00 P . M .
April 11 , 1990
PRESENT :
S upervisor Dietrich
Councilpersons - Eckstrom , Marisa , Oltz ,
Town Clerk - Sczepanski
OTHERS PRESENT :

Supervisor Dietrich called the meeting to order at 5 : 10 P . M .
The purpose of the special meeting is to work on the Final Impact
Statement for the Raptor Heights Planned Development District .
Councilperson Marisa presented the letters submitted by the
public commenting on the FEIS for Raptor Heights Planned
Development District ak . a . Raptor Heights Subdivision .
Councilperson Marisa reported that
must make decisions on what the the Town Board now basically
potential
Heights Planned Development Districtare impacts of the Raptor
S upervisor Dietrich reported that the SEOR process has allowed
the Board time to understand what the process is and how it
works .
D iscussion followed in regard to the negative response of the
public at all the public meetings , especially of the immediate
neighborhood surrounding this proposed development .
Councilperson Marisa presented a draft of
Findings for revision and discus the Statement of
item by item . discussion . The draft was discussed
1 ) Surface water quantity , erosion , flooding , leaching and
drainage
2 ) Portable water supplies , sewage disposal , surface water
quality
3 ) Endangered species of animal or plants
4 ) Access and length of roads
5 ) Benefit of moderate priced housing
6 ) Traffic increase
7 ) Commercial development
8 ) Conflict with community ' s current plans and goals
( Comprehensive Plan )
9 ) Recreational area
10 ) Agricultural activities
11 ) Open adjacent parcels to similar development
12 ) Impact on local community services
13 ) Visual resources ( night lighting )
14 ) Archaeological significance
15 ) Concentration of population and population growth rate
16 ) Nonlinear road system
Discussion followed in regard to buffers to neighboring
properties , development on back acreage , one house on five or
ten acres , how do we keep the rural aspects or how do we leave
the land in as much of its natural state as possible .
Supervisor Dietrich asked the Town board by saying " no " to this
project what does the Town gain .
Councilperson Marisa said the gain is that this is a very over the density the Town would y great

RESOLVED , That the Town Board of the Town of Danby hold a
S pecial Board Meeting for the " Raptor Heights " Planned
D evelopment Di 'str` ict Stateineht ' of Findings bn Wednesday , April 19 ,
1990 at 5 : 00 P . M . , at Danby Town Hall , 1830 Danby Road .
A roll call vote on the resolution resulted as follows :

Carried Unanimously
