The town board meet at the office of the town clerk for regular meeting ,
all justices were present also welfare officer and Supt , of highways , Supv .
Rowney pres=iding . The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved ,
Paul Swartwood was present acting as spoksman for agroup of tax payers_.
asking if the town could make some arrangements with the Supt . of the town of
Caroline . Mr Beebe , to plow the Scow on the McMasters ius . d . Cornelius moved
that the Supt`, of highways contact. Mr . Beebe to see what arrangements could
be made to plow the McMaster and (Aunt hill road with full authority to complete
all arrangements . seconded. by Spaulding" and carried .
Welfare statement was read as follows .

enreal bills; read and. Baker movedLthat they be paid as read , including
the Yontz bill , seconded by Beck and carried by a roll call vote .
The clerk presented alaw book which had been recieved asking if the
desired to purchase , or return same to the firm . baker moved to return the
book,, seconded: by Hoagland and carried .
Highway bills read totaling $ I042 . 09 and Hoagland moved to pay as read
seconded- by Baker and carried by a roll call vote .
Hoagland that $ 325 . 5I be transfered from the contingent fund to the
general fund seconded by Beck and carried .
The matter of appointment of dog enumerators was discussed and it was
decided to wait untill the Dec 28th meeting to make this appointment .
The new proposed firemans contract was read and discussed , and Cornelius
moved that the public hearing be held in the Varna hail , on Dec 17 , 945 at
2 P . M , seconded by Spaolding and carried .
the minutes were read and approved . upon motion the meeting was adjourned

The town board meet at the Varna Hall in . a special meeting , at 2 P . M .
called for the purpose of the new firemans contract for fire protection for the
Town of Dryden ,, as per attached notice. A delegation from `'ethel grove was
present , also County attorney Charles Newman . Dr . R . A . McKinney representing fire
CO . The contract was read and discussed from all angles , with the result that
Beck moved that the Contract , as revised be adopted seconded by Baker and carri4',
the matter of the Town safe was discussed: and also the Financing odf the
new truck . '
Baker moved that bornelius be appointed as a representive of the town
,board , to work with the trustees of the Varna hall , seconded by Soaulding and
carried . Minutes were read and approved . Upon motion meeting_ adjourned ,

IIIDowney explained about the bond setup , with the Lumberman ' s Mutual , whos
rates are expected to go on the same basis as the American Suryies , and
others and that there will be no dividends . Beck move dthat the bonds of
the town officers be bought of the American Surety Co . seconded by

The town board meet at the office of the town clerk for the annuall
audit . All justices - were present. Martin Beck was appointed as—chairman of the
meeting . All town accounts for the year were checked .
'' paulding- moved that the town highway dept:. move the town clerks: office.
office equipment on Dec . 31 , to such place as desginated by the• incomeing
town-: clerk , seconded by C1crnelius and carried .
�' ornelius moved that the First National Bank of Dryden , be named as a
despository for town monies , seconded by Baker- and carried .
'. motion was made by Hoagland that Lois Beck , be appointed -as registrar_
of' vital stitistics , seconded by apaulding._ and carried .
The clerk reported that one application for dog enumerator had been fi
filed•:, that one was a joint one of ' yron VanPelt and Lawrence Armstrong two
EX: service men . " motion was madeThy Baker that, Lawrence Armstrong and
MyrorriVanPeit be appointed as dog enumerators for 4946 , secondedtby RoaglandL
and carried .
Cornelius _- moved that the sum of $ 6000 , 00 be borrowed from the Dryden '
bank with two certificates of indebtedness , at the proposed rate of . 02
( Two ) persent to finance the payment of the new F . W . D . truck . seconded - by
Baker and carried ,
' Baker moved that the same constables that are now acting be appointed.
