SPECIAL MEETING
A Special Meeting of the Cortlandville Town Board
was held on March 21, 1983 at the Town Hall, 15 Terrace
Road, Cortland, NY, with Deputy Supervisor, Melvin Pierce
presiding.
Board members present: Councilman, Melvin Pierce
Councilman, Warren Manning
Councilman, Edwin O'Donnell
Councilman, Ray Thorpe
Town Clerk, Pauline Parker
Absent: Supervisor, Stanley Nadolski
Also present were Deputy Town Clerk, June Bradshaw;
Highway Sup't., Carl Eaton; Engineer, Peter Novelli;
and Newsreporter, Paul LaDolce.
Deputy Supervisor, Melvin Pierce called the meeting to
order at 4:30 p.m..
The Town Clerk read the published legal notice for
the receiving of bids for a new road repair kettle.
Receiving of bids was officially closed.
The following bids were opened:
Seneca Supply Inc. Aeroil $3,119.00
Route 13 and Dryden Rd.
Ithaca, NY 14850
Walter M. Roberts Enterprises Inc.
Route 20 at Nelson N.Y. Aeroil $3,836.00
PO Box 328
Cazenovia, NY Rosco 0 4.00
paid in ten days ( 3,895.00)
All bids received were given to the Highway Sup't.
and the Engineer to review.
RESOLUTION # 77 AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF VOUCHERS
Motion by Councilman Thorpe
Seconded by Councilman O'Donnell
VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED
BE IT RESOLVED that the vouchers submitted have been •
audited and shall be paid as follows:
General Fund Vouchers #74 - 77 $5,698.78
Highway #56 - 58 1,382.01
Water Fund #29 - 32 1,704.99
Sewer Fund #13 7.96
The Highway Sup't. reported that all bids received
were in proper order.

RESOLUTION # 78 AWARDING OF BIDS - ROAD REPAIR KETTLE
Motion by Councilman Thorpe
Seconded by Councilman Manning
VOTES: ALL AYE ADOPTED
WHEREAS pursuant to Resolution #63 for the year 1983, Award
sealed bids were publicly solicited for one new road repair Bids
kettle, in accordance with the specifications and terms Road
set forth in the information to bidders, and Repair
Kettle
WHEREAS two sealed bids were received, opened and read
aloud by the Clerk, and
WHEREAS all bids submitted were in proper form, and have been
reviewed, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Cortlandville
does hereby award the bid to the lowest bidder, Seneca
Supply, Inc., in the amount of $3,119.00 and
RESOLVED that all other bids submitted are hereby rejected.
Councilman Thorpe made a motion, seconded by Councilman
O'Donnell to adjourn the meeting. All voting aye, the
motion was carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:40 p.m.
